two
of
our
society's
brighter
individuals
attempted
to
steal
2
Triumph
sportbikes,
a
yellow
2006
955i
and
a
red
2006
Daytona
675,
from
our
store
by
backing
their
pick-up
truck
through
the
doors
and
pitching
both
bikes
in
the
bed
of
the
truck.
Apparently
a
combination
of
the
wailing
alarm
and
alchohol/drugs
created
panic,
resulting
in
both
a
failure
to
raise
the
tailgate
and
a
serious
case
of
lead-foot,
which
pitched
both
bikes
out
and
onto
the
sidewalk
in
front
of
our
shop.
The
damage
has
been
repaired
and
now
we
are
looking
move
the
bikes.
These
bikes
will
carry
a
salvage
title.
While
we
make
absolutely
no
guarantees
about
the
running
condition,
we
feel
both
bikes
can
be
made
operational
for
less
than
$500
each.
The
675
was
a
demo
with
1,983
miles
before
the
accident;
the
955i
was
brand
new
with
4
miles.
They
are
available
for
sale
for
a
short
time.
If
they
do
not
sell,
they
will
go
to
the
insurance
company.
The
price
for
the
675
is
$4750.00
and
the
price
on
the
955i
is
$4000.00.

Why
are
these
bikes
salvage/totaled?
Because
there
are
scratches
in
the
frame
and/or
subframe
on
both
bikes
and
a
scratch
is
all
it
takes.
