Harley-Davidson
model
number
designations
can
be
confusing
to
decipher.
One
of
the
longest
traditions
of
Harley-Davidson
seems
to
be
the
manner
in
which
the
motor
company
assigns
model
numbers.
While
there
appears
to
be
some
sort
of
rhyme
or
reason
to
some
designations,
others
seem
to
make
little
sense.
Rather
than
pretending
to
understand
what
the
motor
company
was
thinking
when
they
handed
out
model
numbers,
