Daytona
Bike
Week
2007
by
storm!
BMS
walked
away
with
top
honors
in
every
way!
Sam
Nehme,
owner
of
BMS,
wanted
to
pull
off
a
repeat
of
Biketoberfest!
Back
in
October,
BMS
made
history
by
winning
first
place
in
the
Rat’s
Hole
competing
in
the
“American
Class
Custom
Radical”
and
second
place
in
the
“American
Class
Custom
Super
Radical”.
This
was
done
with
metric
motorcycles.
That
is
correct,
you
read
this
right!
For
the
first
time
in
history,
a
metric
motorcycle
won
the
American
class
at
the
Rat’s
Hole!
BMS
is
known
for
their
radical
line
of
Yamaha
Star
Motorcycles!
That
wasn’t
enough
though.
Nehme
wanted
to
also
win
the
coveted
award
at
Daytona’s
Bike
Week
2007.
Once
again,
BMS
entered
into
the
same
top
two
classes.
Nehme
entered
“Nehme-sis”
into
the
“American
Custom
Radical
Class”
and
also
entered
Danny
Ayala’s
“Got
Rake”
into
the
“American
Custom
Super
Radical
Class”.
With
over
362
bikes
at
the
Rat’s
Hole
Show,
the
competition
was
fierce.
Not
fierce
enough
though!
BMS
walked
away
with
First
Place
in
both
classes!
BMS
garnered
the
first
win
for
a
metric
chopper
in
the
premier
category
that
is
traditionally
ruled
by
American
built
motorcycles.
They
did
it
at
Biketoberfest
and
now
Bike
Week!
History
was
made.
As
if
that
wasn’t
already
enough,
it
gets
better.
Sam
Nehme’s
“Nehme-sis”
was
also
chosen
for
the
“Best
of
Show”
class.
It
received
more
points
than
any
other
bike
ever
has
by
the
judges
in
all
classes.
Is
that
enough?
No.
Sam
Nehme
was
also
chosen
by
the
Essen
Show
to
travel
to
Germany
and
compete
with
“Nehme-sis”
in
November
2007.
In
total,
BMS
was
proud
to
walk
away
with
four
First
place
finishes!
That
was
a
huge
accomplishment!
Nehme
was
also
given
an
award
at
the
Biker
Ball
for
“Unique
Designer
of
the
Year”
by
V-Twin
Magazine
and
EasyRider
