MAY
1,
2007
(GOWANDA,
NY)
-
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
has
recently
completed
a
3,600sq.
ft.
motorcycle
showroom
expansion
and
remodeling.
Utilizing
the
architectural
resources
endorsed
by
Harley-Davidson
Motor
Co.,
Design
Work
Studios,
Inc.
of
Santa
Ana,
California
artfully
conceived
a
showroom
that
blends
together
the
dealership’s
natural
country
surroundings,
wood
trimmed
home-style
interior
and
rich
heritage.
“We
are
a
destination,”
says
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
President,
John
Reid.
“Motorcyclists,
and
non-riding
motorcycle
enthusiasts,
near
and
far
travel
here
to
enjoy
our
scenic
location
and
the
Harley-Davidson
experience.” |
| |
|
|
|
To
complete
the
construction,
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
turned
to
local
contractors.
“We’re
a
community
minded
business,”
remarks
co-owner
and
expansion
project
manager,
Bob
Reid.
Ground
was
broken
and
the
exterior
constructed
in
late
August
of
2006
by
House
of
Steel
from
Springville,
NY.
Interior
work
was
performed
by
Tanner
Remodeling
&
Construction
of
Hamburg,
NY.
“I’m
proud
to
be
associated
with
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
and
their
expansion
project,”
said
Tanner
Remodeling
&
Construction
President,
Scott
Tanner.
“Through
effective
materials
research
and
utilizing
local
distributors,
we’ve
been
extremely
efficient
managing
Gowanda
Harley’s
expansion
dollars.”
In
addition,
environmental
considerations
were
made
to
include
natural
lighting,
energy
efficient
heating
and
cooling,
plus
flooring
manufactured
from
recycled
tires.

Standing
inside
the
motorcycle
showroom
you
get
the
feeling
that
Harley-Davidson
truly
is
a
lifestyle
with
a
long
and
proud
history.
Depicted
in
series
of
craftily
lighted
life-size
wall
murals,
it
is
a
history
that
has
been
taking
place
in
the
Gowanda
area
since
the
late
1930’s.
“We
looked
to
our
own
heritage
for
interior
décor,”
continues
John.
“The
wall
murals
are
our
own
family
photographs.
The
antique
Harley-Davidson
memorabilia
is
from
our
family
collection
too.”
|
| |
|
|
|

The
sense
of
lifestyle
continues
as
you
look
to
the
modern
multi-media
experience.
Incorporated
throughout
the
dealership,
a
wide
mix
of
music
video
and
commentary
evokes
emotion
about
the
Harley-Davidson
product
and
broad
culture
that
surrounds
it.
“The
Harley-Davidson
media
program
is
an
exciting
way
to
entertain
and
engage
you,”
comments
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
vice
president,
Paula
Rosen.
To
bring
the
experience
to
life,
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
marketing
coordinator,
Brian
LeBarron
partnered
with
Advanced
Production
Group
from
Dunkirk,
NY.
“We’ve
worked
with
Advanced
Production
Group
for
several
years
to
bring
the
staging,
lighting
and
stadium
concert
sound
to
the
Harley
Happening,”
continues
LeBarron.
“As
a
specialist
in
retail
audio/video
design
and
installation,
their
product
knowledge
and
focus
on
quality
comes
through
just
like
their
concerts.”
When
fully
complete,
a
total
of
60
speakers
in
2.1
stereo
sound,
four
big
screen
LCD
televisions,
plus
live
video
feed
to
their
service
department’s
dynamometer
tuning
lab
will
create
a
unified
atmosphere
across
the
dealership
and
highlight
everything
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson
has
to
offer. |
