Racing
took
his
first
podium
finish
of
the
year
at
the
Rucker
Performance
LoneStar
Nationals
in
Ennis,
Texas
on
May
6,
2007.
Competing
in
the
S&S
Super
Sport
class
(10.30
index),
Seneca
crossed
the
finish
line
first
in
the
final
round
at
10.43
seconds
at
119.53mph
atop
the
99ci
XL.
“We
staged
up
into
the
finals,”
recalls
Seneca.
“It
was
all
on
the
line.
The
team
worked
hard
all
weekend
long.
We
were
consistently
pulling
10.28s
to
10.30s.
It
was
exciting
to
take
the
win.”

The
engine
powering
Red
Dragon
Racing’s
Super
Sport
class
drag
bike
was
researched,
designed
and
built
by
Gowanda
Harley-Davidson.
“A
lot
of
time
went
into
developing
the
engine,”
comments
lead
race
technician,
Tony
Koch.
“Engine
mathematics,
plus
computer
aided
engine
modeling,
gearing
modeling
and
race
simulators
helped
us
design
and
build
the
motor.
Time
in
our
dynamometer
tuning
lab
got
us
dialed-in.”
The
99
cubic
inch
XL
Evolution
engine
breathes
through
a
2.150
inch
S&S
Super
D
carburetor.
114
octane
race
fuel
is
compressed
to
14:1
and
is
ignited
within
the
twin
spark
plug
cylinder
heads.
At
peak
performance,
power
hits
the
rear
wheel
at
118
lb-ft
of
torque
and
143
horsepower.
“Racing
is
the
ultimate
proving
ground,”

very
unforgiving.
Every
design
and
part
is
pushed
to
its
limits.
If
you
don’t
do
it
right,
the
track
lets
you
