450
FRAME |
| The
DS
450
frame
is
the
lightest
in
its
class |

Last
week
BRP
revealed
the
first
details
of
its
all-new
Can
Am
DS
450.
Now,
more
is
revealed
about
the
sport
ATV:
its
Altec
aluminum
frame.
This
high-tech
frame
is
the
lightest
frame
in
the
industry.
The
engineering
team
was
able
to
keep
the
weight
down
by
using
ultra-modern
lock-bolts
instead
of
traditional
welds
to
hold
the
frame
members
together.
And
frame
rigidity
is
enhanced
with
its
dual-pyramid

EVESHAM
—
Two
new
all-terrain
vehicles
will
help
the
township
Police
Department
reach
some
of
its
heavily
wooded
trouble
spots,
Police
Chief
Joseph
Cornley
said.
Coby
Frier,
the
owner
of
Surf
&
Turf
Powersports
of
Lumberton,
donated
the
ATVs
to
the
department.
The
donation
was
made
possible
through
the
Can-am
Bombardier
ATV
lend-lease
program,
Cornley
said.
The
chief
said
the
new
vehicles
will
be
used
to
patrol
and
respond
to
incidents
in
remote,
heavily
wooded
areas
in
the
township.
These
areas
are
impossible
to
reach
in
traditional
police
vehicles,
Cornley
said.
The
ATVs
will
also
be
used
during
special
township
events,
including
the
July
4th
fireworks
celebration.
Officers
will
be
required
to
attend
an
ATV
safety
course
before
they
are
cleared
to
operate
the
vehicles,
the
chief
said.
