WARM IT UP!
Let it warm up. With the rising cost of gasoline lately, everything you can do to increase the efficiency of your favorite ride is money in the bank. One thing that I see most often is people not letting their engine warm up before riding. Modern fuel injection systems run rich for the first few minutes of operation. Letting the engine fully warm up at idle will use less fuel than riding slowly, saving you money in the long run and it keeps the internal components of the engine from wearing prematurely. Check your tire pressures. Low tires are harder to roll than properly inflated ones. Check the air filter regularly to ensure free air flow to the engine. When was the last time you changed the spark plugs? Engine oil? . Keeping up with these maintenance items is a sure way to keep the fuel mileage at optimum levels. Call our service department today and we’ll tell you how we can help you start saving money at the pumps.
