Hi,
I
recently
bought
a
2006
Deluxe
used
from
a
Dealer...it
had
1900
miles
on
it.
The
person
that
owned
it
before
me
put
new
Vance
&
Hines
pipes
on
it.
I
took
it
back
for
a
5000
mile
service
and
complained
that
it
was
getting
so
hot
and
also
wasn't
getting
good
milage...they
suggested
that
I
have
the
bike
re-mapped...could
you
explain
this
to
me?
And
if
I
have
this
done,
is
my
warranty
still
covered
on
the
bike?

replies..."Re-mapped
simply
means
to
hook
the
bike
up
to
a
computer,
and
a
program
will
re-write
the
ECM
(Engine
Control
Module)
for
less
back
pressure.
We
recommend
you
install
a
race
tuner,
which
will
make
proper
adjustments
to
the
amount
of
fuel
and
air
in
your
engine.
As
far
as
warranty
issues
go,
technically
Harley
could
play
hardball
and
it
could
negatively
effect
your
warranty,
but
for
the
most
part,
we
do
not
see
that
happen.
