Steve
Sergi |
Have
you
ever
heard
the
expression
“The
only
person
who
likes
change
is
a
wet
baby”?
Motorcycle
people
are
OK
with
change;
we
take
calculated
risks
all
the
time.
One
of
my
customers
who
once
worked
in
the
oil
exploration
industry
told
me
a
story
about
a
very
successful
project
manager
who
had
a
high
success
record
for
solving
impossible
challenges.
The
question
was
put
to
him:
how
do
you
manage
to
assemble
such
a
great
team
of
creative
problem
solvers,
and
get
such
great
solutions
to
difficult
challenges?
He
responded:
I
just
find
all
the
motorcycle
riders
in
the
company;
they
are
calculated
risk
takers;
they
are
not
afraid
of
putting
themselves
out
on
a
limb
with
bold
suggestions
and
solutions.
Change
is
inevitable,
some
shy
away
from
it
some
seek
it
out,
and
sometimes
change
just
smacks
you
in
the
face.
Where
am
I
going
with
this?
It
is
with
mixed
emotions
that
I
must
to
tell
you
that
I
am
moving
to
Los
Angeles
California.
Not
to
worry
you’re
in
good
hands,
Chris
Connelly
will
be
the
New
Sales
Manager
starting
July
15,
2007.
Chris
and
I
have
worked
in
concert
for
seven
years,
together
we
have
brought
the
Motorcycle
department
a
long
way,
I
have
the
utmost
confidence
that
Chris
will
continue
this
success
and
the
excellence
that
you
have
come
to
expect
from
BMW
of
Manhattan
Motorcycles.
The
reason
for
my
move
is
that
my
Wife
earned
a
fantastic
position
at
Loyola
Marymount
University,
so
the
family
is
moving
out
West.
I
will
miss
all
the
great
people
associated
with
BMW
of
Manhattan,
and
my
home
town
of
New
York
City!
I
feel
like
I
am
on
line
for
a
really
scary
rollercoaster
ride,
excited
and
apprehensive
all
at
once,
but
willing
to
go
for
the
ride.
