The 2007 Harley's Heroes Tour

WHAT: The 2007 Harley's Heroes Tour will stop at Iron Valley Harley-Davidson/Buell to provide local veterans with free benefits counseling services provided by the Disabled American Veterans. While on the 2007 tour, the DAV Mobile Service Office will provide benefits counseling to those veterans who suffer from service-connected injuries but may never have filed a claim for benefits or have found it difficult working with the Department of Veterans Affairs. These "offices on wheels" are staffed by highly trained DAV counselors who are skilled experts in developing and prosecuting veterans' claims.

WHERE: Iron Valley Harley-Davidson/Buell

WHEN: Saturday, August 25th, 2007 (9am - 4pm)

Many of the veterans who need the services of the Harley's Heroes program fought in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. So far, 1.4 million service members have served in those wars and nearly 60,000 have been wounded or injured. Many are unaware of their benefits or even their eligibility to receive earned compensation and benefits.

Informing these veterans of their rights and benefits will be one of the major tasks of the Harley's Heroes program. Just as the veterans of previous wars have been there to help us, the program will be in their communities to help them.

If you'd like any more information on the Harley's Heroes Tour that will be stopping at Iron Valley, please call Megan at (717) 272-4986.
