All
Harley
Drag
Racing
Association
team
Red
Dragon
Racing
from
Irving,
NY
captured
a
first
place
Super
Sport
class
finish
at
the
Salem
Harley-Davidson
Northwest
Nationals
in
Woodburn,
Oregon
on
August
26.
This
marks
the
team’s
second
Super
Sport
podium
finish
in
2007
and
pushes
team
owner
and
racer,
Kevin
Seneca
to
third
place
in
the
national
Super
Sport
class
points
race.
With
four
AHDRA
races
remaining,
Kevin
trails
first
place
by
only
28
points.
“We
had
a
very
productive
weekend
in
Woodburn,”
remarks
Kevin.
“The
weather
was
good,
the
track
was
fast,
and
we
were
cutting
good
lights.
The
whole
crew
worked
well
together.
Especially
in
the
final
rounds
when
everything
has
to
be
done
quicker.”
Kevin
and
the
Red
Dragon
Racing
team
also
achieved
a
milestone
on
his
99ci
XL
Super
Sport
class
drag
bike.
Earning
a
bye
in
the
quarter
finals,
Kevin
was
able
to
slow
his
reaction
time
and
open
up
the
throttle,
thereby
not
breaking
the
10.30
second
index
barrier,
but
still
testing
the
speed
limits
of
his
bike.
With
the

Kevin
broke
the
10
second
barrier
for
the
first
time
during
eliminations
with
a
9.799
second
pass
at
136mph.
“It’s
extremely
helpful
to
be
trackside,”
remarks
Tony.
“You
learn
a
lot
and
are
able
to
make
on-the-fly
adjustments.”
“Tony’s
work
paid
off
in
the
end,”
Kevin
further
remarks.
“We’re
brining
the
XL
Super
Sport
bike
into
where
it’s
supposed
to
be.”
Meanwhile,
Kevin
continues
to
compete
in
the
11.50
second
index
Screamin’
Eagle
Performance
Parts
(SEP)
class
with
the
2001
Harley-Davidson
CVO
Dyna
Wide
Glide.
Woodburn
proved
exceptionally
exciting
as
Kevin
worked
his
way
into
the
final
round
against
points
leader
Dan
Norlin.
Despite
running
strong
throughout
elimination
rounds,
Kevin
took
the
runner
up
spot
by
only
.05
seconds.
More
importantly,
it
moved
Kevin
from
the
number
10
spot
to
fourth
in
national
SEP
class
points.
Consistency
has
been
the
key
to
Red
Dragon
Racing
teammate
Bruce
Chandler’s
season.
Competing
in
the
Super
Sport
class
with
a
custom
built
drag
racing
chassis
running
a
96ci
S&S
engine,
Bruce
currently
holds
the
number
four
points
spot
in
the
national
Super
Sport
class.
