Thanks to everyone who participated in our Open House "Find it or Get Lost" run. We had a blast! It was alot of fun coming up with the clues, for those of you who didn't get a chance to see them, here are just a couple so you can see what you missed..."This town is to Callahan and Stephens county as Impact was once to Abilene. While you're there, stop in and get your fill of gasoline."-answer: The Fillin Station at Putnam. "Come feast on some buffalo with this famous Spanish conquistador"-answer: Coronados Camp. Everyone that completed the run and found all 7 stops brought in their poker chips they picked up at the stops and their names got put into a drawing for a $200 Kent's gift card. Congratulations to ZANE MCBRIDE for winning the giftcard. We had such good feedback on this that we are already planning next years run with new places and new clues. We look forward to seeing y'all.

It seems that some riders are not getting educated on how to ride in a staggered formation whether it is two or ten riders.  This typically results in not allowing the riders to have an escape route when encountering any kind of hazards.  So I just wanted to go over the following distances during group riding.

2 second rule-The distance between you and the bike in front of you.  This will give you the space and time to avoid hazards when you encounter them.

4 second rule-The distance between you and two bikes in front of you.  You cannot rely on looking at just the bike in front of you.  If you can watch two bikes ahead, this will give you more reaction time.  You might see something even before the bike in front of you sees or reacts to, this gives you that critical out.

12 second rule-The distance to properly scan the road ahead of you in order to see and react to any hazards you are coming upon.

If you can remember these rules, you can enjoy a safe and comfortable ride!  Have fun and ride safe!!!
