A remanufactured engine is a long block that has been returned to the original factory specifications, by Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations. Even with the best maintenance and care, customers’ engines are subject to wear and tear. The remanufacturing program will return these engines back to Original Equipment (O.E.) specifications,including maintaining the customer’s original VIN number. The service is available for all 1340 Evolution engines from 1984 introduction to 1999 model year configurations, as well as TC 88 & TC88B Engines powertrains in 1450 and 1550 versions. They will be remanufactured in either Black and Chrome, Silver Polished, or Silver and Chrome with limited exceptions. As part of the remanufacturing processes, each engine is "hot tested" before it leaves Harley-Davidson. · WARRANTY: A Harley-Davidson® remanufactured engine has a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty.
