January
1st,
the
Annual
New
Year's
Day
Ride
will
leave
Cycle
Connection
at
11
a.m.
Join
us
to
bring
in
the
New
Year
on
your
Harley.
Of
course,
this
ride
is
weather
permitting.
The
roads
must
be
dry.
January
5th,
Saturday,
is
the
Ladies
of
Harley
Meeting
at
Cycle
Connection
at
11
a.m.
Bring
your
sweet
tooth
cause
Leila
is
cookin'
up
something.
January
8th,
Tuesday,
is
an
Officer
Meeting
at
Cycle
Connection
at
7
p.m.
The
meeting
will
end
abruptly
for
Boston
Legal!
January
12th,
Saturday,
is
the
Annual
Chili
Cook-Off
at
Cycle
Connection.
Bring
your
crock
pot
of
chili
and
fixin's
(crackers,
frito's,
cheese,
onions,
etc.)
to
the
H.O.G.
family
room
between
10-10:30
a.m.
Bowls
and
spoons
provided.
Judging
will
take
place
at
11:30
a.m.
Then
we
will
devour
the
chili.
January
15th,
Tuesday,
is
our
January
Joplin
H.O.G.
Meeting
at
Cycle
Connection
at
7
p.m.
with
a
potluck
dinner.
Bring
anything
you
like
and
come
a
little
early
to
set
up
food.
January
20th,
Sunday,
is
Breakfast
at
Ryan's
at
9
a.m.
Join
us
for
a
buffet
breakfast
and
lots
of
conversation.
January
25th,
Friday,
is
the
Community
Center
of
the
Ozarks
Blood
Drive
at
Cycle
Connection
from
2-7
p.m.
in
the
H.O.G.
Family
Room.
Last
July
we
had
60
people
give
blood.
We
hope
to
break
that
record.
January
26th,
Saturday,
is
a
cook
out
at
Cycle
Connection.

MEETING
CHANGES
Starting
in
January,
our
Joplin
H.O.G.
Meetings
will
be
the
3rd
Tuesday
at
7
p.m.
and
the
3rd
Saturday
at
10
a.m.
alternating
months.
The
reason
for
this
is
that
the
H.O.G.
Family
Room
is
needed
for
more
Rider's
Edge
classes
and
we
definitely
want
more
people
riding
and
joining
our
group.
Following
the
Saturday
10
a.m.
meetings,
we
plan
on
dinner
rides
for
those
who
want
to
ride. |

PARTY
FUN
Our
Christmas
Party/Meeting
this
year
was
catered
by
Bill
Boyd
(member)
and
Leslie
Devore
with
the
help
of
Nancy
Hutson.
Thanks
to
all
who
participated
in
the
entertainment.
We
had
a
few
that
didn't
show
up
due
to
weather
or
power
outage
but
we
had
members
show
up
from
Lamar,
Seneca,
Oklahoma,
Pierce
City,
etc.,
and
the
room
full
with
fun
and
laughter
throughout
the
night.

Christmas

Happy
New
Year
to
all!!!
And
I
hope
you
received
what
you
asked
for
at
the
party.

Renewal
We
will
have
the
2008
Joplin
H.O.G.
membership
renewal
at
the
January
15th
Meeting.
Membership
is
from
January
to
January,
$20
per
couple.
We
did
have
some
new
members
join
in
November
and
December
2007
and
their
membership
will
carry
over
for
2008.
