Just one look: That's all it will take to see that the Windsor Craft is an extraordinary boat, a vessel that represents the history and future of boating in its beauty and style. The same could be said of Nisswa Marine, where the family-owned business has stayed on the cutting edge of the boating industry while honoring its renowned 75-year history.

Located in the Brainerd Lakes area of north-central Minnesota, Nisswa Marine will be the first dealership in the state and surrounding region to offer this classic boat, which discreetly combines thoroughly modern technologies and amenities with the elegant lines and warm style of a vintage wooden boat. Handcrafted from rich mahogany, the Windsor Craft is painstakingly built by skilled artisans in the renowned Vicem Yacht Yards, in much the same way that Nisswa Marine's business was built - carefully, generation after generation, to become one of America's premier boat dealers.

Steve Wiczek, president and patriarch of the family-owned business, explained the cornerstone of Nisswa Marine's success: "What's really built our business is customer service, from the moment people walk in the door to years beyond a purchase. Everybody talks about providing customer service, but we truly go the extra mile, worrying about solving the customer's problem, if they have one, rather than who's going to pay for it."

"And there's a bigger picture than just saying , 'If your boat's broken, we'll fix it.' It's in how you give the customer the opportunity to experience what they want."

Customers looking into a Windsor Craft will be in for the boating experience of a lifetime. The refined appearance and design of this wooden boat hearkens back to the luxurious golden age of pleasure boating. The exquisite lines that accentuate the Windsor Craft's masterful craftsmanship simply must be seen in person to be fully appreciated, and that's Wiczek's purpose in putting a 30-foot model in his showroom.

"This is a big deal for us: It's something new, and it's a very upscale product," he said. "We believe in the product. We look at it as another drawing card to get people into Nisswa Marine....into our nice, well-lit, professional showroom. I believe we have the right spot."

But the appeal of Windsor Craft, which is also made in larger sizes, goes well beyond appearances - in the same way that Nisswa Marine offers much more than a consummate showroom and vast array of boats in all styles and sizes. The Windsor Craft 30, with its roomy aft seating area and refined appointments, is ideal for entertaining friends and family or for a romantic moonlit cruise.

Amenities abound aboard the boat, including a refreshment and entertainment station with a grill top, while stepping belowdeck is a descent into luxury, complete with a simply stunning day head. And that's just the short list. As could be expected of such a testament to the aptitude of design, the Windsor Craft is as strong as it is stylish with a robust hull and powerful twin engines.

Nisswa Marine is a fitting partner for Windsor Craft, as a dealership that matches its impressive layout with the quality team at the core of the business. Their team is anchored by longtime boating enthusiasts and family members who know boating inside and out.

"It gets back to the importance of the customer. The only way you can truly have great customer service is if you have the infrastructure for it," Wiczek said, adding yet another reason Nisswa Marine is suited to offering the Windsor Craft. "We have a tradition of long-term guys who have worked here for many, many years - from sales to service. We have two of the best, most knowledgeable wood-boat guys around, and I've already got them here."

Wiczek said he thinks there's definitely a customer base in the Nisswa area for the Windsor Craft - in fact, his initial goal is to sell two or three a year - but he said the internet age brings the possibility of customers coming to see the boat from anywhere.

"We really do have a good market, both here, throughout the region and even worldwide," he said. "We'd certainly be willing to cater to clients from all over, flying in to see it. There are private planes, jets...it's not that big of a deal today. It's become a global market."
