Harley-Davidson
Motor
Company
is
sponsoring
the
first
ever
Harley-Davidson
Daytona
Women’s
Ride
on
March
4.
It
is
believed
to
be
the
largest
female
Harley
ride
in
Company
history,
with
500
participants.
We
have
a
limited
number
of
slots
to
fill
at
this
point,
so
are
asking
if
there
are
any
women
Harley
riders
who
would
like
to
join
us.
If
you
have
already
sent
in
your
request
form,
you
do
not
need
to
send
it
again,
as
we
will
have
your
information.
Karen
Davidson,
great-granddaughter
of
one
of
the
Company
founders,
will
lead
the
ride
along
with
the
winners
and
mentors
of
our
Get
Down
to
Daytona
contest
(www.harley-davidson.com/womensride
has
profiles
of
the
winners).
Each
participant
(whether
they
raise
money
or
not)
will
receive
a
2008
MDA
pin,
special
MDA/Harley-Davidson
flag
for
their
bike,
and
also
be
entered
into
a
drawing
for
a
105th
Anniversary
Leather
Jacket.
Since
the
ride
is
a
fundraiser
for
MDA
Summer
Camps,
a
small
donation
of
$25
is
appreciated,
but
not
mandatory.
The
top
three
fundraisers
will
receive
a
women’s
Harley-Davidson
Leather
Jacket.
Also,
any
woman
who
raises
more
than
$400
will
receive
a
special
Harley-Davidson/MDA
silver
charm
in
recognition
of
their
silver-level
fundraising
efforts
(photo
attached).
Any
woman
who
raises
more
than
$800
will
receive
a
silver
and
gold
charm
in
recognition
of
their
gold-level
fundraising
(photo
attached).
(One
week
at
MDA
Summer
Camp
costs
$800
per
child.)
So,
if
you
know
a
female
rider
who
will
be
in
Daytona
the
morning
of
Tuesday,
March
4,
and
will
have
a
Harley
or
Buell
to
ride
(we
CANNOT
provide
a
motorcycle
for
them),
please
ask
her
to
fill
out
the
attached
form
and
email
it
to
Natalie
Pedersen
at
natalie.pedersen@harley-davidson.com
no
later
than
Wednesday,
February
20.
Every
participant
must
pre-register
with
Natalie
by
that
date
and
will
not
be
able
to
just
show
up
that
morning
and
join
the
ride.
Participants
will
be
identified
on
a
first-come,
first-chosen
basis,
and
Natalie
will
provided
participants
with
more
detailed
info
on
the
starting
time,
location,
etc.
shortly
after
Feb.
20.
