  • Please Excuse our Appearance!
The signs and displays are down,
but our inventory is still here - somewhere :)

Our official move date is March 15-20,
meantime we are fully operational at our current location.

Cliff will be forwarding an electronic letter to customers next week.

Thanks for your patience, understanding and support.

    Cliff's Lane Changes
In the spirit of enhancing your experience and ultimate satisfaction with Cliff's, we have made some changes to the sales and marketing departments.

    Sales Department

The first big change comes to support the new 7000+ sqft showrooms. Brands will be segregated and so will our sales advisor specialties. Following are some familiar and not so familiar faces along with their new roles.

    Joanne Ferguson
    Sales Manager

Many of you have already met our fiery redhead in her capacity as sales advisor and understand her complete comittment to customer satisfaction. Joanne has officially taken the reins of the sales floor effective Feb 1, 2008. Congratulations 'Fergie'!

You can email Joanne or call her at 203-798-2779*21.

    David Hartley
    BMW Sales Advisor

David has been with us since last April and brings a long history of BMW sales experience from Lindner Cycle and Canton Cycle. David will focus his attention on all things with a 'roundel' which means a wealth of knowledge at your disposal.

You can email David or call him at 203-798-2779*22.

    Steve Landau
Ducati / MV Agusta Sales Advisor

Steve is the newest member of our sales team and brimming with enthusiasm for all things Italian. Steve just attended the 1098R launch at Barber MS Park and is eager to share his experiences. When not on the phone, he is taking every opportunity to put miles on bikes - in the name of product familiarization.

You can email Steve or call him at 203-798-2779*34.

    Marketing Department

Cliff's takes great pride supporting the riding community.
And to foster new and exciting ideas for the store, Cliff has added a special post - Marketing and Promotions.

    Chris Kirkness
    Marketing and Promotions Manager

I have been with Cliff since the store opened in 2003. I am excited to hand the Sales Manager hat to Joanne and explore new possibilities as Marketing and Promotions Manager. Feel free to share any idea comments, commendations or concerns you wish to share to Chris Kirkness.

Cliff's Rides 1098R at Barber MS Park

Chris (left) and Steve (right) taking advantage of the 180hp+ down the front straight. Ok, ok, so we're actually farther back :)

Cliff's Cycle Revolution received 1 of 12 North American dealer invites to ride the stunning Ducati 1098R at Barber MS Park February 18/19. Although Jerez was the official world press launch, this event allowed Ducati NA to bring absent press and dealers into 'their' inner sanctum. The goal - Super Charge us just weeks before the 1098R hits the floor.

Did it Work? Into the spiraling vortex of grins we go!

Having never been to Barber, Steve Landau (see lane changes) and I landed a day early to take in the view. We burned 3 gb worth of photos (link to Cliff's Flickr Pics for a preview) and took 1 1/2hrs of video. As we meandered the museum Monday morning, 1098R's blurred past the walls of glass piloted by Brian Catterson, Scott Russell and others.

That night we returned to a special dinner and another surprise - a visit to the lower floor restoration rooms and machine shop, normally off limits to the public. Not only did we get to view the lower floor but Brian, the museums curator, swung a door open to reveal the underground storage facility that holds racks and racks of bikes waiting for restoration.

Early to bed - tomorrow, we ride!

Early to rise for breakfast and technical review, then a few sighting laps on 4 wheels (rental car - wheeeeeee). Temps rose steadily all day from the mid 40's to the high 50's. Each dealer had a chance to run 3 x 20 minute sessions and Pirelli was on hand to keep us in fresh 'Dragon Supercorsa Pro' super sticky skins.
I learned that the 1098R #1 I was to ride came dialed by Catterson. Since I was the same stature, I would receive the benefit of his set-up experience. Although the R looks similar to the standard 1098, this is a true homologation special. Everything needed to race at the highest level is here right out of the crate. More qualified riders have written elsewhere so I'll just say that this bike beckens you. And the first 'real' Traction Control on any street machine works - we were on setting 6 and you can 'literally' whack the throttle anywhere and the bike remains rock solid stable - giving everything to the rear wheel.

We did have a profound final thought - when can we do this again?

Bikes bound for the USA will come complete with a full 70mm Termignoni exhaust system, Limited Production triple-clamp plate and a box of goodies sent directly to the new owner. In addition, the first 300 bikes registered before May 15, 2008 will also receive 2 complimentary VIP passes to the SBK round at Miller M/S Park!

Cliff's Cycle Revolution is receiving 5 1098R's. Call our Italian sales advisor Steve Landau to get yours!

Don't forget to visit Cliff's Flickr Pics of Barber MS Park. And thank you Mr Barber for having the vision to create such a wonderful place.

    See you on the range!

"According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 3% of Roadway crashes involve motorcyclists but 11% of Roadway fatalities were motorcyclists!"
The purpose of ASMI's Bystander Assistance Programs are to reduce injuries and fatalities to motorcyclists through First Response Education. They also expect to reduce rescuer injury through proper training. The programs, based upon the US DOT First Responder Curriculum, are focused on Trauma rather than First Aid and CPR. All classes include a Lead instructor who is EMT or higher in medical training.

Our first class was a Sold Out success, so we are collecting names for future classes. If you, your friends or club members are interested in follow-up information on class dates, send an email to Cliff's Crash Course for the Motorcyclist or call 203-798-2779*24.

If you sent information in the last 2 months, please resend. A crashed hard drive relieved me of your information. Thanks for your understanding

    See you in class!
