riding
season!
Yes,
it’s
finally
here
after
tough
winter,
we
are
beginning
to
see
the
sun
come
out
and
the
roads
dry
up
for
a
great
new
year
of
riding.
This
year
has
a
lot
going
for
it
already.
We
have
the
new
Carson
City
Harley-Davidson
store
open
now,
and
the
dealership
has
big
plans
in
the
works
already!
The
dealership
will
soon
have
the
Riders
Edge
training
course
up
and
running,
it
has
been
a
complicated
and
lengthy
process.
In
the
meantime
there
are
classes
for
the
beginner
and
experienced
rider
beginning
to
fill
up
locally.

Truckee
Meadows
Community
College
also
has
classes.
Taking
a
class
is
a
great
way
to
refresh
your
skills,
or
the
best
place
to
start
for
the
new
rider.
Call
early,
as
these
classes
fill
fast.
The
Motorcycle
Safety
Foundation
(MSF)
has
designed
these
classes
based
on
years
of
study
and
training
experience,
to
accommodate
the
needs
of
the
student.
The
Basic
Rider
Course
(BRC)
is
a
full
weekend
of
both
classroom
and
riding
training
for
the
person
who
has
never
ridden
a
motorcycle
before.
The
bikes
are
provided,
as
well
as
a
helmet
if
needed.
The
Experienced
Rider
Course
(ERC),
is
a
one
day
class
which
takes
place
on
the
riding
range
completely,
and
you
provide
your
own
bike.
The
ERC
is
designed
and
intended
for
riders
with
a
minimum
of
6
months
and
1000
miles
of
on
road
riding
experience.
I
assure
you,
even
if
you
have
years
and
thousands
of
miles
under
your
belt,
either
one
of
these
classes
will
benefit
you
greatly.
If
you’ve
been
out
of
the
sport
for
a
few
years,
I
recommend
the
BRC,
because
this
course
has
more
technique
training,
that
will
rekindle
what
you
may
have
forgotten.
The
fundamentals
are
so
important,
and
are
often
the
things
we
forget
the
most!
In
addition,
successful
completion
of
either
course
will
earn
you
a
certificate
that
the
DMV
will
accept,
and
provide
your
endorsement
with
no
further
testing,
plus
most
insurance
companies
will
offer
a
discount
too.
Harley-Davidson
will
also
pay
you!
Simply
fill
out
the
form
available
at
the
dealership,
provide
a
copy
of
your
certificate
and
sales
receipt
of
payment
for
the
class,
and
HD
will
send
you
$50
in
HD
cash
to
buy
that
one
more
bit
of
chrome
you’ve
been
wanting!
