2005 Harley-Davidson® FLHRS/FLHRSI Road King® Custom

For 2005, the Road King® Custom model makes its second appearance, and one year has done nothing to mellow its in-your-face style and attitude. When this machine first hit the streets, the riding public couldn’t take its eyes off the minimalist swept-back chrome visor perched atop a set of pullback beach bars. Moving back, you’ll find this custom bagger is dressed up right. Clean leather bags with hidden supports. Slash-cut mufflers. Electro-formed, chromed metal fuel tank emblems. Big, clean front and rear fenders. Rounding off the sweet look are streamlined footboards, passenger pegs, brake pedal, cast and chromed slotted alloy wheels and a tank-mounted stretch chrome console. Though the Road King® Custom has much for the eye to see, it was built to see the country. You get a lowered, air-adjustable rear suspension, refined chassis, and the proven Twin Cam 88® engine, available in carb or EFI. For when you’re ready to stop looking, and start going.

2005 Harley-Davidson® FLSTF/FLSTFI Fat Boy®

Get an eyeful of this behemoth on wheels. But be careful your eyelids don’t get stuck wide open. It’s the 15th Anniversary Fat Boy® motorcycle. 2005 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® XL 1200 Custom

The Sportster® family is as rich in heritage as it is in torque. Take a glance at the 1200 Custom. The appeal is instant. Then take it for a run down the boulevard and good gets even better. We did this one up by first taking it down. It sits lower, thanks to a new seat and frame. The slotted chrome disc rear wheel wears a wide tire, nicely balancing out the swept-back handlebar and pullback riser. Power is big and immediate, with the rubber-mounted, chrome-covered Evolution® engine. The high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams get you going. The 4.5-gallon tank keeps you going longer. Just like the custom theme. Forward foot controls. Bullet headlight. And a brand-new optional Profile Laced wheel, shown here. 2005 Harley-Davidson® VRSCA V-Rod®

The day custom muscle was handed out, this one got in line twice. And as anyone who’s ever caught a glimpse of a V-Rod® motorcycle will tell you, it was worth the wait. It all starts with the muscular aluminum bodywork. Perfect in its original brushed metal look, it gets nine glittering new shades to choose from for 2005. The one-of-a-kind, hydro-formed frame recently got a boost in eye appeal with a new silver-leaf coating. The aggressive look keeps rolling with a 49mm 38° raked fork, a 180mm rear tire, solid disc wheels and a sweeping exhaust system that’s out of this world. At the center is the liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution® powertrain with 115 horsepower and enough torque to counterpunch the earth’s rotation. It all leads to the jaw-dropping combination of power and beauty you see here. V-Rod® also gets a new stiffer rear axle, for when a wandering road wants to show you a good time. The original V-Rod recipe keeps getting sweeter.
