Party
Highlights

Myrtle
Beach
Harley-Davidson
held
their
first
Ladies
Only
Garage
Party
on
Tuesday
March
4th.
The
weather
was
not
ideal,
but
that
didn’t
stop
our
customers.
They
were
determined
and
we
had
a
great
time.
We
started
the
night
out
with
a
demonstration
on
the
correct
way
to
pick
up
a
bike.
It
was
a
great
ice
breaker
and
really
helped
everyone
feel
more
comfortable
and
capable.
There
were
4
stations
set
up
with
the
main
theme
of
education
and
safety.
In
General
Merchandise
participants
learned
about
buying
proper
helmets,
glasses,
leathers,
gloves,
and
rain
gear.
In
Motorcycle
Sales
participants
learned
about
choosing
the
best
bike,
taking
into
consideration
size
and
experience.
In
Parts
they
learned
about
recommended
cleaning
products,
proper
storage
of
a
bike,
and
different
safety
precautions
that
can
be
assembled
to
any
motorcycle.
In
Service
they
learned
how
to
do
routine
checks
on
all
motorcycle
styles.
Before
the
evening
ended,
there
was
a
raffle.
Eight
ladies
won
a
T-shirt
and
one
lucky
lady
went
home
with
a
vacation
package.
Gift
bags
with
ball
caps,
bandanas,
decals,
Road
Recovery
moisture
samples,
and
rider
safety
course
pamphlets
were
given
to
all.
Water,
soda,
and
hors
d’oeuvres
were
served
throughout
the
evening.
Two
motorcycle
were
sold
and
the
ladies
took
advantage
of
“after
hours
shopping”.
A
good
time
was
had
by
all
-

compound

means
less
miles,

This
month
I
would
like
to
talk
about
exhaust.
First
of
all,
loud
does
not
mean
fast,
not
now
-
not
ever!
The
fact
that
the
older
bikes
ran
straight
or
drag
pipes,
does
not
mean
that
they
were
good
for
the
engine
or
that
they
made
the
bike
perform
any
better,
actually,
without
back
pressure
the
engine
will
not
perform
at
it’s
best.
Today’s
bikes,
with
the
closed
loop
injection,
require
a
little
bit
more
than
just
changing
the
exhaust.
Yes,
I
know
they
are
quieter
than
the
older
bikes,
but
they
are
also
much
more
efficient.
Okay,
enough
of
that.
You
guys
and
girls
want
to
know
how
I
make
my
bike
louder
without
causing
damage
or
voiding
the
warranty...
It’s
easy!
HERE
ARE
THE
PROS
AND
CONS
Adding
a
set
of
screaming
eagle
slip
on
mufflers,
will
increase
the
performance,
however,
the
sound
is
at
its
quietest.
The
ECM
or
fuel
management
does
not
have
to
be
changed
as
long
as
the
air
cleaner
assembly
is
stock.
There
is
no
need
to
change
the
air
filter
to
the
screaming
eagle
stage
1.
Adding
a
set
of
aftermarket
slip
on
mufflers
or
a
complete
after
market
exhaust
system
First
of
all
–
any
changes
to
the
exhaust
system
can
and
will
void
the
warranty
of
the
bike.
However,
there
are
some
aftermarket
companies
that
have
created
a
slip
on
mufflers
that
can
be
installed
with
changing
the
ECM
or
adding
a
stage
1
air
cleaner
kit---
please
feel
free
to
call
us
for
information
on
these
products.
Adding
a
complete
exhaust
system
(whenever
a
complete
exhaust
is
installed)
First
you
must
find
a
fuel
management
system
that
will
work
on
the
model
bike
and
the
model
of
the
exhaust
system
you
are
looking
for.
There
are
many
manufactures
out
there
that
claim
this
or
that,
but
it
all
comes
down
to
the
fuel
management.
If
the
pipes
don’t
match
the
ECM,
you
will
do
damage
to
the
engine.
So
now
you
found
the
pipes,
next
is
the
stage
1
air
cleaner
kit,
because
if
you
increase
the
air
flow
going
out,
you
must
increase
the
air
flow
coming
in.
Alright,
now
your
ready
to
upgrade
your
exhaust
system,
give
us
a
call
and
we
will
be
glad
to
help
in
any
way
possible.

walk
around
and
check
of
your
bike
can
save
hours
of
labor.
