    'Getting on Track' Seminar
    Sat May 19 - 1pm to 3pm
    Track Day events are a growing hobby where you can learn skills that will enhance your ride on the street.

    Guy Verfaille, resident racer and track day junkie conducts this informal seminar to introduce the basics of 'getting on track'. Topics include bike and gear selection, licensing, track info and more.

    Cliff's ASMI training classes return.
    The basic class is the most popular course. It teaches the basics of motorcycle trauma using P.A.C.T. This one day course is geared toward the lay rescuer but is a great review for the EMS as well. helmet removal, moving the injured and jaw thrust rescue breathing are all part of this class.
    Join Rich Barstow, lead instructor, for a full day of life saving information. For the price of a nice dinner, $55 per student ($45 for Cert MSF Instructors), you can receive invaluable training that could save a life! Sign up directly by filling our the sign up form through ASMI Site.

    'Total Contol' Advanced Riding Clinics
    Coming to Cliff's Cycle Revolution
    Cliff's Rider Training program has just been enhanced with the addition of a 'Total Control' Advanced Riding Clinic schedule.

    We are excited to announce that Christine Firehock, President of Christine's KickSTART motorcycle training will be providing support for all the classes conducted on site.

    A schedule will be posted to her website in the coming weeks. Meantime any interest in Cliff's Total Control classes can be directed to Christine via email or by visiting her website

    2009 BMW S 1000 RR Superbike
    Homologation Specials Coming Too!
    As we have noted previously, BMW will enter the World Superbike championship next year, apparently with more than one rider. BMW's goal is several top ten finishes next year, followed by podium placings the following year, and a battle for the championship thereafter.

    The production version of the race bike is designated the "S 1000 RR", and 1000 street-legal production models will be completed by the end of next year to satisfy racing homologation requirements.

    Here is a snipit of text of the speech given by Hendrik von Kuenheim:
    We are confident that we will be able to start the Superbike World Championship next year with a convincing all-round package, and that our series motorcycle will be just as convincing. In both terms of both its technology and price, our Supersports will be absolutely competitive.

    Since we are still in the middle of the development process, it would be too soon to mention any specific technical data. But you naturally know the usual level of performance our competitors have to offer. So with this in mind, I leave it to you today to speculate on what the specifications might be.

    This is great news for the sport! BMW's involvement with the new S100RR can only mean more cool tech on the street too!
