MINORS SUMMER BASH Minor's will be having a Summer Bash on June 14th, 2008 from 11am - 4pm with live music from Slight Return, Food from the Sikeston Shriners, a bike show, sidewalk sale and in-store discounts. Come out for some fun in the sun with Minors Harley-Davidson!!! SEMO H.O.G. Observation Run SEMO H.O.G. will be having an observation run on Sunday, June 1st 2008. Eric's Tech Corner The last installment in the riding impressions is the Softail family. Softails in 2008 have the 96" motor and the 6 speed transmission just like all the other Big Twins have, but Softails use a 96B, or balanced motor. Balanced motors have a chain driven weight in front and rear of the crankshaft that cancels vibration. The motor can be solid mounted to the frame which is an advantage over customs that have Evo based motors because they have severe vibration that the rider can feel. Harley Softails are smooth and vibration free. With the looks of a hardtail but shocks under the motor for a smooth ride. Come in and test ride any Softail from the Rocker to the Custom , all are sure to please. For me the new Cross Bones makes this writer feel good inside with it's Springer front end and retro styling that's hard to beat. With the ever rising gas prices, everyone should be riding a Harley-Davidson this summer.
