The following event took place several weeks ago and unfortunately the individuals involved have not been apprehended yet. On June 1st, at approximately 9:30pm, one of our HOG members was traveling northbound on North Ocean Ave, just south of Robinson Avenue in Medford. A large black SUV rear ended a blue H-D Ultra injuring the rider. After striking the bike and pushing it several hundred feet, the dirt bag backed up and drove around the fallen bike and rider. The SUV sustained front end damage and had tinted rear windows. The rear license plate had an H or I in it, and in the passenger seat was a blonde with shoulder length hair wearing a white jacket or shirt. The downed rider can and will pick the passenger out of a lineup when found. Thank you to all those that did stop to offer assistance and provided police with much needed information. This may degrade the protective properties, even if damage is not visible. 2- If a helmet drops or suffers impact, it should be replaced immediately. Impact may fracture the outer shell or compress the impact-absorbing liner and the damage may not be visible. 3- Manufacturers and the Snell Memorial Foundation recommend helmets be replaced every 3-5 years depending on use. Stop in anytime for a FREE helmet inspection. PARTS & ACCESSORIES Don't let bugs BUG you! Here's a great tip for all of you that run with windshields. When it comes time to clean your shield and give all the bug bodies on it a proper burial, get yourself H-D Bug Remover. It may seem like common sense, but a lot of folks don't realize that this product can be used on your windshield as well as paint and chrome. HERE'S HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY: Get a nice soft cloth, preferably a H-D Softcloth, and soak it with the Bug Remover. Lay it over your windshield and let it soak for a few minutes. If you have a lot of dead guys on there, it may take a couple of soakings, but they will start to loosen up. After performing this process, you might want to take your wash mitt and pass it over the shield to remove all the biggest pieces, then rinse it down with clear water and continue on washing the rest of your bike. Always remember, avoid washing your bike in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. When you are finished washing, you can blow the bike off with your NEW Blaster Sidekick. Don't have one yet?
