amazing
enough,
it
was
done
for
the
first
time
ever
on
a
Harley-Davidson
motorcycle!
With
his
2006
Harley-Davidson
FXD
custom
built
131
cubic
inch
(2150cc)
174
rear
wheel
horsepower
motorcycle,
Hiro
set
out
to
challenge
both
the
American
Motorcycle
Association
(AMA)
National
Land
Speed
Record
of
144.486
MPH
in
the
3000
MPG
class
and
the
FIM
World
Record
in
Division
A,
Class
13
of
149.263.MPG
Neither
class
allows
a
fairing.
Despite
a
displacement
disadvantage
in
class
and
among
purpose
built
race
bikes,
Hiro
shattered
both
records
with
his
street-ridden,
pump
gas
motorcycle.
Breaking
the
FIM
World
Record
by
28.314
MPH
and
the
AMA
National
Record
by
33.091
MPH,
Hiro
stated,
