will
head
out
Ashlan
to
Watts
Valley
and
make
the
Sample
Road
/
Tollhouse
Road
loop
and
come
back
down
Hwy168
ending
at
Big
Hat
Days
in
old-town
Clovis.
The
Big
Hat
Days
is
the
annual
spring
event
in
Old
Town
and
has
tons
of
activities
and
vendors
so
should
be
a
fun
place
to
look
around. |

This
is
an
AMA
sanctioned
recreational
event
that
is
part
of
the
AMA
2009
BMW
National
Adventure
Riding
Series
and
attracts
up
to
100
participants.
The
Yosemite
Adventure
Tour
is
a
2-day
(Saturday
&
Sunday)
"Adventure
Ride"
based
out
of
Buck
Meadows
California,
the
gateway
to
Yosemite.
This
event
features
a
route
of
approximately
100
miles
each
day.
On
Saturday
participants
will
enjoy
an
excellent
buffet
lunch
at
a
local
Indian
Casino
and
on
Sunday
they
will
be
treated
to
a
"picnic"
style
lunch
trailside.
Participants
are
provided
with
the
option
of
"dirt"
and
"street"
splits
each
day.
"Street"
routes
are
100%
paved
with
both
wide,
2-lane
highways
and
bumpy,
potholed
single
lane
county
back-roads.
"Dirt"
routes
are
approximately
80%
dirt
&
gravel
2-track
forest
service
roads.
This
route
is
specifically
designed
to
accommodate
large
"Adventure"
motorcycles
like
the
BMW
GS
series
and
can
also
be
negotiated
in
a
4WD
vehicle.

In
only
the
second
race
of
the
season
and
BMWs
entrance
into
World
Superbike,
BMW
already
showing
world
class
performance.
The
bike's
performance
in
Qatar
proves
the
S1000RR
has
what
it
takes!
BMW
Motorrad
Motorsport
riders
Troy
Corser
and
Ruben
Xaus
rode
superbly
in
both
the
two
18-lap
races
in
Doha
World
Superbike
race
and
earned
themselves
three
top
ten
finishes!
Troy
finished
ninth
in
both
races
and
Ruben
took
13th
in
race
one
and
followed
that
with
a
hard-fought
for
tenth
in
race
two.
Today's
tremendous
results
were
all
the
more
spectacular
considering
that
Ruben
and
Troy
had
started
the
races
from
the
fourth
row
of
the
grid
after
a
problems
in
Superpole
qualifying.
But
almost
more
special
than
the
top
ten
finishes
was
the
sight
of
Troy
in
fourth
place
after
two
laps
of
race
two!
The
Aussie
had
blasted
off
the
line
superbly
from
16th
on
the
grid
and
stunned
everybody
by
crossing
the
line
in
fifth
place
at
the
end
of
lap
one.
By
lap
two
he
had
stormed
into
fourth
-
a
position
he
held
until
lap
four.
Although
he
ended
the
race
in
ninth,
his
spell
in
fourth
place
made
up
for
all
the
disappointment
the
past
two
days
and
gives
Troy,
Ruben
and
the
whole
team
a
tremendous
boost
before
the
next
race
in
three
weeks
time. |
