Mariposa Shop Ride May 3rd!
John is leading another famous shop ride Sunday May 3rd! The route is still coming together, but it looks like he will be wandering around Mariposa and the foothills! Wildflowers are in full bloom and the hills are still emerald green.... This should be a beautiful ride! Be sure to meet at the shop with a full tank of gas. We meet between 8:00-9:00AM for coffee and doughnuts. Ride starts at 9:00AM!

Scooter Club Gaining Momentum!
Bill Johnson of the Modesto Area Scooter Club (name to change soon) recently sent us an email letting us know of some fun rides they have planned for the near future. Are you interested in meeting other scooter enthusiasts? This is a great group of people that truly enjoy their scoots and the comraderie that a club has to offer! If you would like more info, send Bill an email. There is an email address at the bottom!

Here is what Bill sent to me....

There's a rally/long ride in the Oakland and Berkeley hills area. Read the following quote from their website:

"Saturday April 25 - Meet at Cole Coffee (formerly Royal Coffee) 6255 College Ave (at 63rd), Oakland, CA 94618 (MAP IT) at 9:30AM to join us for coffee and a pastry before the ride leaves at 10:30AM. This is the Iron Butt ride - an awesome 125-mile ride through some of the best canyon roads in this part of the bay. If you were at HTTH6 in 2007, this is the same route. Don't let the 125 miles of riding scare you, the scenery will be well worth the long day ahead. The ride will take us into the Oakland/Berkeley Hills, down Skyline to Redwood Road and onto Castro Valley. From Castro Valley we will drop down Palomares Road to Niles Canyon and back up Foothill to Sunol and into Pleasanton where we'll stop for lunch. After fueling up our bellies and scooters we'll be heading to the small Livermore Municipal Airport and up into Collier Canyon, and over to Morgan Territory. BTW, Morgan Territory is awesome! The backside of Morgan territory is a small one lane road that doesn't see much maintenance and reminds you a lot of Deliverance. Morgan Territory will lead us into Clayton, then Walnut Creek. From "The Creek" we'll head into LaFayette and Moraga, back to the tiny backwoods town of Canyon, up Pinehurst, and back into the Oakland Hills. A short trek down Sheppard Canyon and into Montclair and we'll soon be back at Cole Coffee. Although we will not be riding too fast, this is a long ride best taken on a larger scoot if available. And did I mention it is EPIC!" More info here:

Sunday, May 3rd. Our club meeting. There's some good news to be shared and some info everyone might like knowing about. Also, I'll be sending everyone the compiled list of club names so that everyone can decide on their best 4-5. There's still a lot of room left on the page so if you have any suggestions hurry up and send them to me so I can add them to the list.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

April DS Ride Canceled
Unfortunately, the April 26th Dual Sport Ride is canceled. Sorry gang, I have been sucker punched with a wicked chest cold/infection. I hope you can all mark May 31st on the calendar for next month's ride.

Sorry for the short notice..... I am guilty of optimistically hoping that I would be feeling good enough to ride.

See ya next month! Gail
