2009 Honda Rebel® (CMX250C)

Tip of the Month
"When It Is Time To Change Your Direction"
The most efficient way to change direction on your motorcycle is by counter-steering. What is counter-steering? Counter-steering is a technique used by cyclists and motorcyclists to initiate turning toward a given direction by first steering counter to the desired direction. In other words, if you want to turn right, press on the right handgrip.

This may sound a bit confusing, but when bikes are in motion they don’t necessarily steer, they counter-steer. It is a physical phenomenon that occurs when the combined center of mass of the rider, and the vehicle leans in the direction of the turn. Pressing on the handgrip in which the direction you want to go causes this lean.

NEW FACES AT THE DEALERSHIP

Dress for What Might Happen
The weather is warming up, the scenery is greener, and motorcyclists are dusting off their bikes. Riding season is here and everyone is noticing. Wild West Motorsports would like to remind all of our customers to dress for what might happen on the bike. Even though it may be very warm, and a t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of sunglasses might be the most comfortable, it is not the safest. Wear apparel that is appropriate for a crash, not just the ride.

For more safety information, please ask one of our associates!
