50/50
Rule |
|
The
50/50
Rule
is
very
basic:
if
the
outside
temperature
is
below
50
degrees;
or
we
have
a
forecast
of
precipitation
of
50%
or
more
then
the
ride
is
cancelled.
This
will
allow
everyone
to
know
that
status
before
departing
for
the
ride.
However,
don’t
let
this
stop
you
from
riding
if
you
so
desire.

The
Director's
Minute |
Greeting
fellow
lovers
of
the
wind,
We
have
finally
been
able
to
go
on
a
scheduled
ride
without
any
rain,
YEAH!
After
our
May
gathering
we
took
a
nice
ride
to
Montauk
State
Park.
Thirteen
bikes
made
the
journey
led
by
Guy
Daniels.
Thanks
Guy.
Everything
you
need
to
know
about
upcoming
rides
and
events
is
listed
on
our
sponsor’s
website,
www.ozarkharley-davidson.com
There
are
too
many
to
list
here,
check
out
the
website
and
the
newsletter
calendar
and
come
out
and
ride
with
us.
Of
special
note
is
our
annual
Father’s
Day
Potluck
lunch.
This
year
Sunni
Harvey
is
the
chairperson
and
she
needs
your
help
with
side
dishes.
Give
her
a
call
or
send
an
email
with
what
you
want
to
bring.
In
keeping
with
our
tradition
of
assembling
all
the
members
who
are
at
the
National
Rally,
I
propose
we
take
a
group
photo
after
the
parade
at
the
feet
of
Biker
Bob.
If
you
are
unfamiliar
with
Biker
Bob,
he
is
the
huge
balloon
that
is
onsite
to
have
your
picture
taken
with
for
the
ABCs
of
Touring
point.
I
hope
to
see
all
of
you
there.
There
is
a
departure
group
leaving
Waynesville
at
8
am
on
the
25th
and
picking
up
folks
at
the
dealership
at
8:30
am.
If
you
are
going,
please
let
me
know.
Another
annual
event
will
be
upon
us
soon.
I
am
talking
about
the
weekend
touring
ride.
We
will
return
to
Marble
Falls
this
year
from
21-23
August
and
do
the
riding
that
we
got
rained
out
on
last
year.
This
has
proven
to
be
a
great
time
with
plenty
of
great
riding,
fantastic
friendship
and
of
course
the
bonfire
started
by
none
other
than
our
resident
firebug,
Dennis
Price.
The
Hub
Motorcycle
Resort
can
be
found
at
www.hubinfo.com
The
phone
number
to
make
reservations
is
800.597.9963.
There
will
be
two
groups
leaving
the
dealership,
one
early
and
one
late
on
the
21st.
Check
back
for
actual
departure
times.
The
rooms
I
have
for
the
Missouri
State
H.O.G.
Rally
are
still
available;
let
me
know
if
you
would
like
one
of
them.
I
will
let
them
go
back
to
the
hotel
on
1
July.
The
latest
name
badge
order
has
11
members
on
it.
We
need
to
get
to
12
to
place
the
order,
so
if
you
want
one,
contact
me
and
get
on
the
list.
Our
next
gathering
is
on
June
21st
at
the
pavilion
behind
Ozark
Harley-Davidson
at
11am.
Come
out
and
enjoy
some
good
cookin
and
great
friendship.
We
will
take
a
short
ride
after
we
eat.

From
Your
Assistant
Director |
Bon
Bini
Eh
Bon
Dia,
Ask
me
at
next
meeting,
what
this
means,
if
you
don't
know.
This
year
on
Million
Mile
Monday,
HOG
members
around
the
world
will
try
to
ride
5
Million
miles.
Will
you
be
one
of
the
riders
to
add
to
the
total?
Whether
you
ride
1
or
2
miles
or
more,
it
will
all
count
towards
the
total.
Once
you
log
your
miles
in
online,
you
can
download
a
certificate
of
participation.
Lets
all
contribute
some
miles!
Have
you
registered
for
2009
Missouri
State
H.O.G.
Rally?
Why
Not?
You
don't
want
to
miss
it,
so
preregister
now
at
www.mostatehogrally.com.
Remember
this
rally
is
Ala
Carte.
This
means
merchandise
has
to
be
purchased
separately
when
pre
registering.
Nothing
will
be
available
at
the
rally.
Also
think
about
being
a
volunteer.
This
can
be
fun,
as
well
as
rewarding.
But
go
any
way,
you'll
be
glad
you
did.
Hope
everyone
is
working
on
the
Chapter
Challenge.
The
prizes
go
to
8
places
this
year,
so
be
one
of
the
winners.
That’s
all
for
now,
I'm
going
riding!

their
own
H.O.G.
'rewards'
card.
If
two
members
share
the
same
dealership
account,
one
member
will
use
the
Dealership
rewards
number
as
his/her
H.O.G.
rewards
card
as
well
as
their
dealership
rewards
card.
The
other
member
will
use
a
separate
H.O.G.
rewards
card.
The
second
H.O.G.
rewards
will
have
nothing
to
do
with
dealership
rewards.
For
example
-
John
Rambo's
card
#
will
be
in
the
dealership
computer
for
Mr.
&
Mrs.
Rambo
to
use
to
earn
dealership
rewards.
John
will
use
this
as
his
H.O.G.
rewards
card.
Jane
will
have
a
separate
card
as
her
H.O.G.
rewards
card.
The
cards
that
are
H.O.G.
rewards
only
will
have
a
H.O.G.
punched
as
a
reminder
that
this
is
a
H.O.G.
only
rewards
card.
We
will
also
put
that
number
under
the
comments
section
in
the
dealership
computer
system.
What
is
a
H.O.G.
Rewards
Card?
We
are
issuing
H.O.G.
rewards
cards
so
we
can
eventually
use
them
to
track
attendance
to
meetings,
events,
etc.
We
may
eventually
discontinue
use
of
the
old
paper
local
membership
cards.
Any
questions,
please
contact
Jenna
or
Melissa
at
the
dealership. |

of
the

close
attention
at
busy

practice
evasive
maneuvers
to
be
prepared
to
act
to
any
situation.
Brian
Black,

reported

Brian
asked
if
the
members
think
it
was
worth
the
time
and
energy
to
hold
the
poker
run.
It
takes
a
lot
of
time
and
volunteers
for
pull
the
event
off
and
make
it
profitable.
With
this
being
said
