Rain, Rain Go Away, Come Back Another Day…
A functional and durable rainsuit is an important asset for any motorcyclist. It is a must-have if you want to ride when you want to ride, especially when you have that unexpected rain storm interrupt your ride.

Here are some pointers to help you pick out the ‘right’ suit to help you complete your ride:

1. A one-piece suit eliminates drafts

2. Foot entry needs to be generous so putting on your suit is not an awkward an experience

3. Collars should be high

4. Wrist and ankle closures should be adjustable

5. A mesh lining will make the suit easier to slip on and provide air circulation

Still not sure which one to buy? Stop by the dealership and ask any of our Motorclothes associates. They would be glad to help!

PROTECT YOUR MOTORCYCLE
According to National Insurance Crime Bureau statistics, motorcycle thefts are on the rise. Only 25% to 30% of motorcycles are found after theft. Thieves steal motorcycles to resell the motorcycle or strip it down and sell the parts. The fact that motorcycles are small and relatively easy to move makes it an easier target for thieves.

Wild West Motorsports, Inc. provides an option to keep your beloved bike safe. LoJack for motorcycles is a great way to prevent the loss of your bike. It is a small transmitting unit that is placed in your motorcycle. LoJack is activated when you discover your motorcycle has been stolen. Once you contact the police, they will activate the unit. LoJack will transmit a signal for the police to follow, and know where your bike is located.

If you would like to know more, please ask any one of our associates. They would love to help you protect your bike!

CUSTOMIZE YOUR HARLEY
Choose The Right Direction
DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT FROM YOUR BIKE:

*Touring: If you want a touring style motorcycle, start by choosing comfortable accessories that will help your motorcycle fit you. Look at a seat, handlebar, and a foot control position to match your size, and select a windshield to protect you from the weather. Then, add saddlebags and touring luggage to haul your gear.

*Cruising: If you perfer a laid-back, boulevard attitude delivered by choice custom accents for your motorcycle, choose a comfortable saddle, and a detachable sissy bar with luggage rack for longer solo or a two-person ride.

* Custom: If an aggressive hot-rod style achieved through fistfuls of chrome is your style, then consider radical seat and spoiler additions, and a low suspension for a slammed, road-hugging stance.

FUNCTION:

*Accessorizing for function: Before you even look at a single piece of chrome, decide what you want from you Harley-Davidson motorcycle. You should match your accessories with how you plan to use your bike.

STYLE:

*A Harley-Davidson motorcycle is designed and built in the factory to feel like an extension of your body when you take it on the road. It is up to you to make it an extension of your soul. Let your instincts guide you when customizing your bike. Take into consideration your needs and wants, and research parts and accessories that will help you achieve those aspirations.

AIR COOLING: a method for regulating the heat of an internal combustion engine.

CC: Cubic centimeters. Designates the size and relative power of a motorcycle engine.

SKULL CAP: a style of knit cap favored by motorcycle enthusiasts for its snug, wind-resistant fit.

SISSY BAR: (Slang) On a motorcycle, the backrest for a passenger.

TWIN CAM: Engine configuration designed to maximize performance.

Knowing the parts and accessories of a motorcycle will help you understand what your bike needs in order to run smoothly and fit your lifestyle. Knowing your parts can also protect you when trying to purchase new accessories. When you are well informed about products it can prevent spending extra money when you don’t need to.
