To
Friends
&
customers
of
Nisswa
Marine
Letter
dated
June
8,
2009
Nisswa
Marine,
Inc.
has
filed
an
order
for
Chapter
11
Reorganization.
This
decision
has
come
after
much
deliberation,
and
was
definitely
not
easy
to
make.
However,
I
had
no
choice,
since
marine
inventory
financing
has
become
almost
non-existent,
and
financial
institutions
have
branded
the
entire
industry
as
extremely
“high-risk.”
As
you
know,
the
past
year’s
business
conditions
and
operating
environment
have
been
the
most
difficult
time
in
history
for
the
boating
industry,
and—until
last
week—we
still
believed
our
company
could
succeed
without
reorganizing.
However,
the
circumstances
have
continued
to
deteriorate,
and
ultimately
we
had
no
options
in
order
to
preserve
Nisswa
Marine’s
core
business.
It
is
impossible
to
address
all
of
your
questions
and
concerns
in
this
short
letter,
but
I
would
like
to
emphasize
to
you
and
all
of
our
customers
that
Nisswa
Marine
is
committed
to
remain
open
for
business.
Our
daily
operations
will
remain
unchanged,
and
we
will
continue
to
sell
new,
used
and
brokerage
boats.
We
are
also
authorized
to
perform
warranty
work,
and
our
storage,
parts
and
service
departments
will
continue
as
usual.
Our
plan
is
to
quickly
reorganize
Nisswa
Marine
and
emerge
as
a
stronger,
healthier,
and
more
stable
company
from
this
point
forward.
It
is
imperative
that
you
understand
that
Nisswa
Marine
is
still
operating,
and
servicing
all
of
your
boating
needs.
We
are
committed
to
providing
the
very
best
service
to
you,
our
valued
customers
in
this
difficult
time.
I’m
personally
thanking
each
of
you
for
your
continued
support
and
loyalty.
Sincere
regards,
Steve
Wiczek
and
family
