-
50/50
Rule |
|
The
50/50
Rule
is
very
basic:
if
the
outside
temperature
is
below
50
degrees;
or
we
have
a
forecast
of
precipitation
of
50%
or
more
then
the
ride
is
cancelled.
This
will
allow
everyone
to
know
that
status
before
departing
for
the
ride.
However,
don’t
let
this
stop
you
from
riding
if
you
so
desire.

The
Director's
Minute |
Alooooooooooooha,
Thanks
to
everyone
who
brought
food
to
the
Father’s
Day
Potluck.
There
were
not
many
members
in
attendance
so
there
was
plenty
of
food.
Also
big
thanks
the
volunteers
that
set
up,
cooked,
served
and
cleaned
up.
THANKS!
After
we
filled
our
bellies
Ty
Ramey
took
us
on
a
nice
ride
to
Bennett
Springs
State
Park
and
Lake
of
the
Ozark
State
Park.
A
very
hot
day,
but
all
that
went
had
a
good
time.
Thanks
Ty.
Even
with
the
heat
of
the
summer
fully
upon
us,
there
is
still
plenty
to
do.
Check
the
website
at
www.ozarkharley-davidson.com
for
updates
and
all
ride
and
event
information.
The
new
orange
refrigerator
calendars
are
out.
Stop
by
the
next
HOG
Gathering
or
the
dealership
and
pick
one
up.
The
editor
has
done
a
bang
job
again.
By
the
time
you
read
this,
Club
HOG
OKC
will
be
over
and
all
that
attended
will
be
back
safely
in
Missouri.
More
on
the
rally
next
month.
I
will
make
another
plug
for
the
weekend
touring
ride
to
Marble
Falls,
AR,
21-23
Aug.
The
Hub
Motorcycle
Resort
has
told
me
they
will
not
take
reservations
from
any
other
group
till
1
Aug,
so
get
your
reservation
in
early.
Another
important
point
is
the
ride
sign
up
roster.
The
Road
Captain
needs
to
know
how
many
are
going
to
plan
gas
and
lunch
stops
and
to
determine
if
more
Road
Captains
are
needed.
Ron
Gentry
has
the
sign-up
roster.
See
him
at
the
next
HOG
Gathering,
send
him
and
email
or
give
him
a
call.
This
is
a
great
time
with
other
members
of
this
chapter
and
the
Lake
of
the
Ozarks
Chapter.
The
Hub
Motorcycle
Resort
can
be
found
at
www.hubinfo.com,
the
phone
number
to
make
reservations
is
800.597.9963.
There
will
be
two
groups
leaving
the
dealership,
one
early
and
one
late
on
the
21st.
Check
back
for
actual
departure
times.
The
rooms
I
had
for
the
Missouri
State
H.O.G.
Rally
have
been
taken.
At
last
check
there
are
still
plenty
of
rooms
in
close
proximity
to
the
rally
site.
The
latest
name
badge
order
has
come
in.
If
you
ordered
a
name
badge,
see
Missy
are
either
the
store
or
the
next
gathering.
The
ABCs
of
Touring
winners
for
2008
have
been
posted
on
the
Members
Only
Website.
Check
it
out.
The
top
winner
this
year
was
159
points,
WOW
that’s
a
lot
of
riding.
A
quick
scan
of
the
list
did
not
produce
any
members.
If
you
participated
in
the
ABCs
of
Touring
give
me
a
holler.
I
scored
66
points.
Lastly,
thanks
to
all
the
volunteers
and
road
captains
for
their
support
of
the
USO
Benefit
Ride.
It
was
a
huge
success,
raising
$1645
for
the
Ft
Leonard
Wood
USO.
Thanks
to
all
that
participated
too.
Our
next
gathering
is
on
July
19th
at
the
pavilion
behind
Ozark
Harley-Davidson
at
11am.
There
is
a
scheduled
ride
to
Dillard
Mills
State
Historic
Site
and
as
usual
our
sponsor
will
be
cooking
hotdogs
and
hamburgers.

Your
Assistant
Director |
Bon
Dia!
If
you
haven't
preregistered
for
the
Missouri
State
HOG
Rally,
you
might
consider
doing
so.
It
costs
less
and
that
will
be
the
only
way
to
get
Rally
merchandise—there
will
be
very
little
if
any
on
site.
If
you
have
preregistered
and
didn't
order
a
t-shirt,
pin,
hat
or
whatever
else,
you
can
still
do
so.
Stop
by
a
dealership
and
get
a
order
form
and
I
will
also
have
some
with
me
by
next
chapter
gathering.
Go
online
to
www.members.hog.com
to
preregister.
You
can
test
ride
the
2010
Harleys
before
anyone
else!
They
will
be
at
MO
State
HOG
rally.
There
will
be
3
great
rides,
a
very
unique
poker
run,
bike
show,
bike
games
and
vendors.
There
is
a
lot
more
going
on
than
I
have
mentioned—You
will
just
need
to
be
there!
Some
of
you
went
to
surrounding
states
HOG
Rallies
and
I
hope
you
had
as
much
fun
as
we
did!
Most
of
the
closer
rallies
are
over
by
now
but
think
about
going
to
one
next
year.
Gotta
go
ride.
Looking
to
see
you
on
the
road
or
at
the
next
chapter
gathering!
