ARIZONA VICTORY RIDERS ASSOCIATION MEETING MINUTES

July 11, 2009 – Saturday – 10:00 am

Mike Schultz, owner of Arizona Victory opened this mornings meeting. Introduction of various attendees were conducted.

Ideas for AVRA bike rides were presented. Due to the hot summer days, doing a breakfast ride was suggested.

There are a few members who enjoy the ride and food at Sunnyside Restaurant in Catalina; early Saturday mornings. Thoughts of taking a longer trip to Patagonia and have breakfast at Home Plate.

Mike was asked if Arizona Victory would hold summer seminars on how to evaluate the right tire pressure for hot summer days, proper oil fill procedures, tire inspection and other bike maintenances. It was also suggested Bike Safety, which was once conducted about a year ago, be presented again. When first presented it received favorable reviews.

Please post any suggestions you may have to Riders Forum at http://azvictoryriders.freeforums.org

In addition to promoting AVRA activities the idea of holding a SWAP meet or trade event where riders can bring bike parts, apparel or anything a rider would be interested in selling or trading. The event could be held in the Tucson Victory parking lot. Mike even suggested he would be interested in contributing some parts that his shop no longer needs. This would be a great time to gather and share, for some, might be junk, yet for others a treasure. Get a great price or trade of the century.

This might take some time to get everything together, so if interested in participating, please contact me and I will work with Mike to get this organized. Perhaps we can focus on sometime in September? Please let me know, Jill Gardner at Gardner_95@msn.com.
