Introducing our Service Department!
Regular visitors to our store frequently meet and get to know staff members from the Sales, Parts & Accessories and General Merchandise/Motorclothes Apparel Departments but do not often get a chance to meet the Service Department staff. So what better opportunity than this, the first issue of our monthly e-newsletters, to find out a little bit about the guys with whom you entrust your motorcycles for all your service, custom and performance needs. So, here they are.....

Dan Metzger, Service Manager -
Dan has been a "Harley Tech" since 1992 when he started at Mckay's in Shallow Lake, staying with the dealership when it became Fox Harley-Davidson in 2002. A self confessed motorcycle enthusiast since birth, there isn't much he does that doesn't involve motorcycles in one way or another. Dan has been service manager for the last 4 years and for the last couple he has also taken on the role of the crew chief of our drag racing team, gaining consistent top 3 results. Dan also runs our Dyno, so, if you have any performance needs, he's your man.

Ian Thomas, service technician -
Ian has been with us here at Fox for 2 years now, having moved to Canada from London, England. He has been a motorcycle technician since leaving school and worked for over 14 years at Warr's H-D in London. Having been involved in many race, custom and restoration projects, along with regular service work, Ian has brought with him a wealth of knowledge and know-how, which combined with the rest of our service team, makes for a department ready and able to meet the challenge.

Steve Lamrock, service writer -
As a service customers first port of call, Steve's job is to man the service desk and help to make your experience with us as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Steve came to us 12 months ago after 23 years in the army, serving in the first gulf war, the Balkans and more recently in Afghanistan. Steve's love of motorcycles meant that whilst in the army he would often look after the service needs of his fellow soldiers. He is currently enrolled as an apprentice technician and hopes to one day put down his pen and pick up a wrench.

Joe Hunter, apprentice technician -
He may only have the title of apprentice but don't let that fool you. Having a mechanic for a father, Joe has been immersed in all things mechanical from a very early age. He has been with us here at Fox for over 3 years. Starting out as a co-op student we quickly realized his potential and he was soon offered a part time position. He was heavily involved with the Georgian Bay Secondary School custom bike build, being the lead student on the project alongside Dan (who volunteered many hours). His hobbies include restoring vintage tractors and snow mobiles with his brother as well as competing in tractor pulling competitions. You will also find him at the track with the rest of our drag racing team..
