Batteries Will Die
Techtips

Battery Failure is a terrible thing, but if a new battery becomes unserviceable within a few days or weeks after its installation, it may be due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. A faulty charging system.
2. A short circuit in the electrical system.
3. Battery terminals are dirty or not properly connected.
4. High parasitic draw.
5. The battery was not properly charged after adding battery acid.
6. Electrical capacity of the battery is too small for the product.
7. The battery, after being filled with acid, has been left too long without initial charging and has become sulfated.
8. Heat. Batteries lose charge approx 30% faster at 90° than at 34°.
9. Intermittent or short trips. Most motorcycle and ATV charging systems do not actually charge until 2000 rpm or more. An 8-mile trip on a motorcycle will probably cause a net discharge on a battery rather than charge.
