sure
came
in
a
hurry!
I
hope
the
fall
season
has
given
you
an
opportunity
to
schedule
some
enjoyable
rides.
This
is
our
last
newsletter
for
the
year
and
I
have
some
important
items
to
bring
to
your
attention.
In
November
we
traditionally
start
our
balloting
for
election
of
new
primary
officers
for
the
Chapter.
The
primary
officers
direct
the
chapter
throughout
the
year.
The
primary
officer
positions
are
Director,
Assistant
Director,
Secretary,
and
Treasurer.
There
are
a
number
of
other
positions
available
for
2010.
The
open
Chapter
positions
are
Activities,
Membership,
Road
Captain,
Chaplain,
Media,
Newsletter,
and
Safety.
In
2009,
the
dealership
employees
lead
the
chapter
due
to
the
limited
number
of
members
interested
in
taking
the
role
of
primary
officers.
The
dealership
lead
the
chapter
with
limited
success
using
participation
as
the
leading
indicator
of
that
success.
The
dealership
desires
to
have
the
chapter
lead
by
volunteer
members
in
an
autonomous
style
as
we
have
for
the
last
6
years.
This
allows
the
members
to
plan
activities
that
support
the
primary
goal
of
the
chapter
which
is
to
“Ride
and
Have
Fun”.
Each
chapter
is
sponsored
by
an
authorized
dealership
and
Harley-Davidson
of
Waco
continues
to
fulfill
its
voluntary
election
of
sponsorship.
In
2010,
we
would
like
to
have
an
enthusiastic
group
of
riders,
which
are
passionate
about
their
freedom
to
ride
and
have
fun,
fill
the
available
positions.
Please
submit
your
nominations
for
officer
positions
and
chapter
positions
by
November
25,
2009
to
Greg
Arceneaux
at
info@hdwaco.com.
We
continue
to
raise
funds
for
the
Waco
Center
for
Youth
(WCFY)
and
have
volunteers
that
are
preparing
for
the
Christmas
Party
at
the
boys’
home.
The
party
will
take
place
on
December
14,
2009
from
6:00
p.m.
to
8:00
p.m.
and
additional
volunteers
are
needed.
Jennifer
Dubois
is
leading
the
group
of
volunteers
and
we
appreciate
her
assistance.
We
are
collecting
money
during
our
weekend
parties
and
encourage
the
members
to
raise
funds
or
make
donations
to
support
the
WCFY.
All
donations
from
members
will
be
matched
up
to
a
total
of
$2,000
by
the
local
Waco
HOG
Chapter.
Our
HOG
Chapter
Christmas
Party
is
on
December
7th
at
6:30
p.m.
Thanks
to
Maryann
Burris
for
helping
with
the
location
and
food
selections.
The
party
will
be
held
at
the
Texas
Annex
Life
Building
at
9th
and
Washington.
Please
signup
at
the
November
monthly
membership
meeting
or
sign
up
on
the
HOG
Bulletin
board
in
the
dealership.
We
need
to
cover
the
food
tab
by
having
at
least
100
in
attendance.
Members
that
are
current
in
their
membership
dues
will
be
Free
and
guest
are
$15.00.
I
look
forward

at
the
next
monthly
Chapter
meeting
and
at
the
Christmas
Party.
