Dave
Bowers
is
53
years
old
and
has
been
riding
offroad
since
he
was
12,
with
some
breaks
in
between
for
college
and
raising
a
family.
Until
December
2008,
Dave
was
the
owner
of
MotoAdventures
Costa
Rica
and
Peru;
a
well-known
offroad
motorcycle
tour
company.
In
this
venue
Dave
and
MotoAdventures
have
been
on
Speedvision
TV
and
in
several
Dirt
Rider
magazine
features
on
offroad
riding
in
both
Central
America
and
South
America. Dave
purchased
a
new
BMW
R1200GS/Adventure
from
BMW
Motorcycles
of
Cleveland
in
2008
in
preparation
for
an
adventure
ride
to
the
Arctic
Ocean
at
Prudhoe
Bay,
Alaska.
In
July
2009
Dave
successfully
completed
this
10,000
mile
ride
in
35
days
and
included
approximately
2,000
miles
of
unpaved
travel
across
the
Yukon
Territory
and
north
through
Alaska
to
Prudhoe
Bay. If
