Do
you
have
proper
Ballast? Does
your
tractor
seems
light
in
the
rear
when
tractor
is
equipped
with
a
loader?
An
easy
way
of
adding
ballast
is
to
add
a
weight
box
to
the
hitch.
This
is
strongly
recommended
and
provides
several
advantages:
1.
The
weight
box
is
cantilevered
out
behind
the
axles
the
effective
weight
is
multiplied
reducing
the
actual
amount
of
individual
weights
needed.
2.
The
weight
box
mounted
on
the
tractor
hitch
transfers
and
reduces
the
weight
on
the
front
axle
to
the
rear
axles.
Reduced
weight
on
the
front
axle
reduces
load
on
the
front
axle
and
wheel
components.
This
reduced
weight
aids
in
steering
effort,
effectively
increasing
steering
capacity.
3.
Transferred
weight
to
the
rear
axles
provides
better
rear
wheel
traction
and
stability.
4.
If
the
tractor
is
equipped
with
a
hitch
quick-coupler
the
weight
box
can
easily
be
removed
when
loader
is
removed.
