Winter in Gowanda, NY.  When the weather turns cold and the snow piles up, we enjoy sharing this photo with our patrons.  Taken circa 1945, it shows Gowanda Harley-Davidson’s late founder John S. Reid riding Don Tolman's (a good friend of John's) 1940 Harley-Davidson EL 61ci. in the snow at the Tolman family farm just down the street from the dealership.  John's two oldest children Dave & Jeannie, join him in the sidecar.
