As
a
39
year-old
husband
and
father,
Clay
comes
to
us
with
extension
experience
and
a
true
passion
for
Harley-Davidson®
riding.
Born
and
raised
in
Montgomery,
Alabama,
Clay
served
our
country
for
4
years
in
the
U.S.
Coast
Guard
before
falling
into
his
sales
career
at
a
car
dealership
in
2001.
In
2004
Clay
went
to
work
for
Harley-Davidson®
of
Montgomery
and
realized
he
had
found
his
niche.
Two
years
later,
Clay
had
the
opportunity
to
interview
with
Curly’s
Harley-Davidson
in
Winston-Salem,
NC.
They
hired
him
on
as
the
Sales
Manager
where
he
remained
through
the
buyout
and
re-opening
as
Smokin’
Harley-Davidson.
“Recently”,
Clay
states,
he
was
“again
presented
with
a
great
opportunity;
to
become
the
Sales
Manager
of
Harley-Davidson®
of
High
Point”.
Clay
says
he
is
really
enjoying
working
in
a
smaller
dealership.
“It
lends
itself
to
a
more
family
oriented
atmosphere
and
an
opportunity
for
more
personal
customer
service.
It
doesn’t
take
long
for
someone
to
become
a
part
of
the
‘family’
where
the
employees
know
you.”
Clay
is
also
excited
about
working
with
the
High
Point
HOG®
club.
He
feels
that
behind
every
successful
dealership
is
a
strong
and
supportive
HOG®
club.
He
looks
forward
to
getting
to
know
the
members
and
helping
the
HOG®
club
continue
to
strengthen
and
grow.
When
asked
what
he
enjoys
the
most,
he
answers
“working
out,
riding
my
favorite
ride,
the
Road
Glide®,
and
spending
as
much
time
as
possible
with
my
lovely
wife
Kimberly,
17
week
old
daughter
and
9
year
old
step-daughter.
