Right
about
now
you
are
probably
doing
everything
you
can
to
keep
yourself
warm
and
cozy
during
this
unusual
cold
spell.
The
good
news
is
that
it
only
lasts
a
week
or
so
here
in
the
South.
The
interesting
news
is
that
this
cold
weather
can
also
affect
your
Harley
and
we
want
to
be
sure
it
is
ready
to
ride
again
as
soon
as
you
are.
Below
are
a
few
tips
to
keep
in
mind:
1.
Cold
weather
can
kill
your
battery.
A
battery
tender
can
keep
the
voltage
up
and
the
battery
maintained
if
it
sits
during
this
cold
spell.
Just
connect
the
battery
tender
to
your
motorcycle
battery
and
plug
it
in.
2.
Fuel
stabilizer
will
keep
the
fuel
in
your
fuel
tank
from
going
bad
while
the
bike
sits.
If
you
are
planning
on
letting
the
bike
sit
for
a
while,
put
fuel
stabilizer
in
and
let
the
bike
run
for
a
bit.
This
will
allow
the
fuel
stabilizer
to
get
into
the
fuel
system.
3.
Check
the
air
pressure
in
your
tires.
Air
is
denser
when
it
is
cold
so
your
tires
may
loose
some
pressure
while
it
sits.
You
can
check
your
owner’s
manual
for
tire
pressure
specs
or
give
us
a
call.
4.
Condensation
can
get
in
your
oil
if
the
bike
sits
during
the
winter
time.
To
get
your
Harley
ready
for
the
new
year
of
riding
be
sure
to
keep
up
with
your
yearly
service
and
scheduled
mileage
maintenance.

My

I
have
a
product
that
I
would
like
to
talk
to
you
about
today
that
has
prove
to
be
very
valuable
to
me.
Especially
on
this
years
toy
run
to
Brenner's
Children
Hospital.
They
are
Rain
Gaiters.
Most
people
who
do
a
fair
amount
of
riding
know
a
good
rain
suit
is
essential.
This
can
make
a
nasty
weather
situation
bearable.
The
thing
I
have
noticed
is
that
people
always
forget
the
key
element
of
a
rain
suit,
your
feet.
Rain
Gaiters
have
a
rubber
non-slip
bottom,
a
stirrup
to
go
around
your
shoe,
and
velcro
wrap
around
for
your
lower
leg.
The
HD
Gaiters
go
one
step
farther
with
a
different
material
on
the
inside
of
the
leg
to
help
with
burned
material
on
your
pipes.
As
we
all
know,
this
can
be
very
tedious
to
remove,
if
not
impossible.
In
closing,
I
rode
this
year's
Brenner
Children's
Hospital
Toy
Run
in
high
top
tennis
shoes
and
was
completely
dry
when
we
got
to
the
hospital.
As
many
of
you
who
went
know,
it
was
one
of
the
wetter
rides
we
have
had
in
a
long
time.
If
you
have
not
seen
them,
come
by
the
store
and
purchase
a
set
of
Rain
Gaiters.
They
will
win
you
over
the
first
time
you
use
them,
as
it
has
me.

Annual
Polar
Bear
Ride |
The
Wolf
Creek
H.
O.
G.
chapter
brought
in
the
New
Year
with
the
second
annual
Polar
Bear
ride.
Eight
brave
souls
weathered
the
cold
and
at
times
threatening
skies
on
a
140
mile
trip
through
the
back
roads
of
Caswell
and
Alamance
countries
ending
up
at
the
Blue
Ribbon
diner
in
Mebane
for
a
hot,
hearty
lunch.
While
we
hoped
for
many
more
participants,
we
did
have
two
new
riders
whom
had
never
ridden
with
us
before.
We
certainly
do
hope
they
come
back
to
ride
with
us
again.
We
had
a
very
good
time
and
great
fellowship
doing
what
we
all
enjoy
doing
best
and
with
people
we
enjoy
doing
it
with.
We
want
to
invite
all
of
you
to
mark
your
calendars
now
for
next
year
and
come
join
us.
