A Note from the Owner I am often asked "how did I get involved in the wakeboarding and boating scene"? When I answer this question, I think back to my childhood. As far back as I can remember, my family spent summer weekends at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland. I can't remember a single weekend that we didn't go to the lake. My brother and I both learned to waterski at a very young age behind my grandparents old 40 hp boat. As we got older, we became very good slalom and barefoot water skiers. I always felt that summers couldn't have been any better than they were at the lake. When I got married and had my own family, I wanted my family to have the same wonderful summers I enjoyed growing up. My wife and I built a house on Lake Anna in Virginia to start our own family fun. For the last several years, Bay Watersports has been a sponsor of this wonderful event that brings joy to the many thousands of children and adults who come to the show. The show included several flying and flipping elves, some on hydrofoils and others on wakeboards, including our own team rider Kyle Barmoy on a wakekite and a wakeboard. The Grinch and Frosty the Snowman were also part of the show, and who could forget the one and only skiing Santa Clause and his team of kneeboarding reindeer. Conditions that day were perfect. The sun was shining, snow from the prior weekend's record snowstorm covered the ground, and the temperature hovered around 35 degrees. The show was covered by several national newspapers, and CNN provided a live telecast from the show site.
