Spicer's Sends Trucks to
North Carolina

Armed with large boat carrying trucks, associates from Spicer’s Boat City recently made the 2000 mile round trip truck to North Carolina.

Their destination?
The Bently Pontoon Factory.

The factory that made these beautiful, well appointed pontoons, was having financial trouble and needed to liquidate a number of their in stock merchandise.

Phillip Spicer, owner of Spicer’s Boat City, knowing that residents of Northern Michigan would be interested in the Bentley line decided to purchase the line straight from the factory.

“We will be able to offer a great pontoon at a huge discount,” says Phillip, “it really gives the pontoon shopper yet another option, along with our six other brands.”

The 24 foot Bentley Pontoons have 25 inch tubes, bimini tops, stereo, rear boarding ladder, docking lights and more. “We attached a 50hp Mercury outboard on each pontoon,” states Bill Kerns, Sales Manager from Spicer’s, “it was a great find, and now we can offer our customers a $19,000 pontoon for just under $13,000.”

Spicer’s spent the fall and winter searching for distressed and factory repossesed boats and pontoons that are the perfect boats for northern Michigan.

The search has turned up many great deals on fishing boats, pontoons and powerboats. Watch SpicersBoatCity.com for more information.

Every month we feature one of many questions that get emailed to Jermey. If you have a question for Jermey, email him here.
Jeremy,
I own a 2006 Ski-Doo GSX; all of my lights and gauges dimmed and went completely out the other night. I plan on bringing it in as soon as I can. I checked all the fuses and they appear ok, is there anything else I can check or do before I make the trek up there.
Brian, Midland

Brian,
I see this symptom way too often. Open you’re left side panel, you will find two relays above the electrical box. They are approx 1 inch by 1-inch block square. Swap them and see if it the lights and gauges start working. If they do then replace the relay.
This is most likely your problem.
Jeremy
During the winter we see a lot of the same complaints and problems on a day to day basis.
Here our a couple of examples that may help you.
Question:
I am riding down the trail and my sled darts all over the as if I am going to lose control.

Answer:
Do you have Studs? If you do have studs the wear bars could be worn excessively or not the correct size. You must match your carbides (Wear Bars) to the amount of studs you have on your sled. The most common problem we see is that the skis are out of alignment. Most manufactures have a specific spec for ski alignment. If you have the right combination of studs VS wear bars and the alignment is on the money this will make your riding way more enjoyable.

Question:
Sometimes While riding my sled the temp light will come on as if it is overheating.

Answer:
I get a least 20 of these calls a week. In most cases it is due to the lack of snow that gets in the tunnel. Some of the trails may have hard pack which will not allow enough snow to get thrown up in the tunnel to get sufficient cooling. This also occurs while riding on the ice, if you notice that the sled is getting hot either get in deeper snow or shut it off. I always jump to the side of the trail or road wherever I see snow if conditions are not exactly favorable for snow. By doing this exercise this should at least eliminate this as a cause.

I hope this helps if you have experienced any of these symptoms.
