HOG CHAPTER NEW DIRECTOR!

The Brazos de Dios HOG Chapter has a new Director.

We first must sincerely acknowledge Leo Owens, former Director, and the entire Officer staff for their dedication and diligence to the Brazos de Dios HOG Chapter.

Moving forward, Jay Kimbrough will be the new Director. He will be responsible for the Primary Officer Positions and leadership of the Brazos de Dios HOG Chapter.


Jay Kimbrough:
“I'm thrilled, excited and honored by this opportunity to ride, work with and serve the Harley community....and the Brazos Valley! And right up front, I want to thank, congratulate and commend Leo for all he has done over the last 2 years as your Director....and pledge to you all that we will be working closely together to build on all ya'll have done over the years.”


The Brazos de Dios HOG Chapter would like to invite you to our next scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 9th to be held at Ozona Grill on Harvey Rd. in College Station beginning at 6:30pm to meet and welcome Jay in addition to the continuing program on Group Riding.

The Brazos de Dios HOG Chapter will continue an exciting and enthusiastic course. A major target and objective will be to recruit new diversified members. The goal will be what Harley-Davidson camaraderie is all about- Riding and Having Fun!

Thanks again to Leo Owens and the Officers for their contributions and service.


Jay Kimbrough biographical information:
Growing up in South Oak Cliff, TX, Jay left High School a semester early in 1966 to join the Marine Corps to serve in Vietnam. On May 10th, 1967 he was seriously wounded in battle. After recovery, Jay started back to school, attending night classes in a local Junior College, later graduating with a BBA from Southern Methodist University. He next earned a degree in law from South Texas College of Law and then served in the Navy™s Judge Advocate General Corps from 1978 to 1982. Jay has also served as Assistant District Attorney for the 156th District of Texas; Bee County Judge; Executive Director, Texas Commission on Private Security; Executive Director, Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse; Executive Director of the Governor™s Criminal Justice Division, Office of the Governor of Texas; Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor of Texas; Deputy Attorney General for Criminal Justice, Office of the Attorney General of Texas; Director, Office of Homeland Security, Office of the Governor of Texas; Deputy General Counsel, the Texas A&M University System; Conservator, Texas Youth Commission; Deputy Chancellor and General Counsel, The Texas A&M University System; Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor of Texas, and currently with the Texas A&M System Board of Regents.
