"THE
SPEED
CHANNEL
COMES
TO
ST.
JOE"
Story:
February
16th
and
17th
may
have
appeared
to
be
a
normal
day
in
St.
Joe
to
most
people,
but
to
Kenneth
Terry
and
Clay
McCreary
it
was
nothing
close
to
the
norm!
When
the
phone
rang
Kenneth
was
so
excited
he
could
hardly
talk
and
had
a
right
to
be
as
it
was
a
representative
from
the
Speed
TV
channel.
They
called
and
wanted
to
do
a
new
show
called
"Sold
in
Seconds"
he
said,
and
they
want
us
to
build
a
bike
on
TV!
"We
need
to
get
ready"
he
said
because
they
are
coming
to
shoot
the
show
in
a
week!
So
Kenneth
&
Clay
got
busy
hunting
down
a
wrecked
Harley-Davidson
to
buy
so
they
could
rebuild
it
for
the
show.
Copart.com
supplied
the
2008
FLHRCI
that
was
hit
in
the
front.
The
morning
of
Feb
16th
all
kinds
of
cameras
were
running
while
Terry
started
tearing
down
the
bike
and
Clay
sketched
a
rendering
of
the
wrecked
bike.
"We
were
supposed
to
act
like
nobody
was
there
with
us"
and
that's
easier
said
than
done.
That
afternoon
was
like
a
Christmas
morning
as
we
unboxed
the
one-off
beautiful
custom
paint
job
parts
from
none
other
than
"Gunslinger
Custom
Paint".
They
are
the
best,
Clay
said,
and
on
top
of
that
Terry
Trimmer
(St.
Joe
H-D's
parts
manager)
called
them
only
five
days
ago
to
have
this
done!
But
doing
as
much
business
as
St.
Joe
H-D
does
with
them,
they
weren't
about
to
let
us
down.
The
next
boxes
revealed
some
hot
new
chrome
wheels
and
rotors
from
RC
Comp.
There
are
many
wheels
out
there
these
days
but
none
come
close
to
the
quality,
and
if
there
is
any
warranty
issues
they
take
care
of
it!
This
means
a
lot
when
you
are
spending
that
kind
of
money.
The
next
morning,
February
17th,
right
about
when
Clay
was
finishing
up
the
final
rendering
of
the
completed
bike,
the
camera
crew
comes
walking
through
the
door.
Feeling
more
comfortable
with
all
the
cameras
we
stayed
busy
and
right
on
track
with
the
build.
The
only
problem
we
really
ran
into
was
a
broken
plastic
bracket
on
the
fuel
pump
and
that
was
taken
care
of
with
a
phone
call
to
St.
Joe
Harley-Davidson,
and
they
delivered
one
to
us
within
a
half
hour.
As
the
fuel
tank
was
being
installed
and
the
camera
crew
finished
picking
their
tongues
off
the
floor
(from
the
outstanding
paint)
the
finishing
touches
were
being
made.
The
cameras
ran
all
the
time
(good
or
bad)
so
we
just
really
ignored
them.
A
little
nerve
racking?
Not
really,
just
stay
focused
and
stay
on
it.
And
stay
on
it
we
did...and
when
we
pushed
the
button
it
came
to
life
as
a
reincarnated
machine!
All
done
in
less
than
24
hours
from
start
to
finish!
22
to
be
exact.
In
closing,
the
Speed
representatives
and
crew
all
gave
us
a
warm
farewell
and
enjoyed
our
silliness,
I
guess,
but
made
us
feel
comfortable
through
the
entire
shoot.
This
was
another
enjoyable
experience
from
being
in
the
motorcycle
industry
and
won't
be
forgotten
anytime
soon.
We
hope
you
have
time
to
tune
in
to
your
local
listing
of
the
Speed
Channel
with
us
and
enjoy
some
motorcycle
entertainment
that
came
to
St.
Joseph,
Missouri
for
the
1st
time
ever!
The
exact
TV
air
dates
are
not
available
just
yet
but
we
will
post
them
as
soon
as
we
get
them.
Note:
The
original
renderings
(drawings)
that
Clay
did
during
the
show
are
posted
below. |
