50/50
Rule |
|
The
50/50
Rule
is
very
basic:
if
the
outside
temperature
is
below
50
degrees;
or
we
have
a
forecast
of
precipitation
of
50%
or
more
then
the
ride
is
cancelled.
This
will
allow
everyone
to
know
that
status
before
departing
for
the
ride.
However,
don’t
let
this
stop
you
from
riding
if
you
so
desire.

The
Director's
Minute |
|
It
was
a
pleasure
to
have
Leah
Whaley,
our
HOG
Regional
Manager,
join
us
for
our
March
meeting.
Leah
left
POT
(Primary
Officer
Training)
in
Rogers
Arkansas,
for
our
meeting
before
heading
home
to
Milwaukee.
She
gave
us
a
25th
Anniversary
Challenge
Coin
for
an
extra
special
door
prize.
Thank
you
Leah
for
the
coin
and
for
making
time
to
be
with
us!
We
had
seven
officers
attend
POT,
and
I
think
new
officers
have
a
better
understanding
of
HOG,
their
duties
and
how
to
work
with
everyone
for
a
better
chapter.
The
friendliness
and
enthusiasm
is
wonderful!
Members
from
all
over
the
country
attend.
There
was
an
instructor
from
Australia
and
one
from
Belgium.
How
cool
is
that!
Instead
of
a
Spring
Poker
Run,
we
are
having
a
Crazy
Dice
Ride
April
24th.
At
each
stop
you
can
roll
1
to
5
dice,
for
a
score
for
that
stop.
However
if
you
roll
snake
eyes
(2
or
more
1s
),
then
you
do
not
get
any
points
for
that
stop.
How
lucky
are
you?
Come
test
your
luck.
We
still
need
volunteers
for
this
event.
Contact
Guy
Daniels
or
myself.
May
22-23
is
Celebrate
Women
Riders
in
Milwaukee.
Several
of
us
are
going.
If
you
would
like
to
join
us,
then
let
Karen
or
myself
know.
Plans
are
in
the
works
to
go
to
western
Kentucky
in
July
for
a
destination
ride.
We
will
leave
on
Friday
and
come
back
on
Sunday.
Interested?
Details
later.
This
is
to
keep
you
wondering.
We
have
some
rides
planned,
but
are
working
on
others.
If
you
have
somewhere
you
would
like
to
go,then
tell
one
of
the
officers,
so
we
can
make
it
happen.
Give
us
ideas
for
short
rides,
dinner
or
lunch
rides,
long
rides
or
multi
day
rides.
We
welcome
any
and
all
suggestions.
If
you
haven’t
been
to
any
meetings
yet,
come
join
us.
Meetings
are
going
to
turn
into
more
of
a
social,
instead
of
being
so
formal.
They
are
going
to
be
shorter
so
we
can
ride
afterwards.
Weather
permitting.
Ride
Safe
and
Ride
Often,
Bill

I
would

to

There
are
also
several
other
State

that

HOG
has
partnered
with
AT&T
this
year
to
give
us
the
members
an
opportunity
to
save
17%

our
cellphone

when
we
register
them
through
the
HOG
website,
another
new
benefit
is
Best

at
biker
friendly
hotels
(
they
provide
a
bucket
and
cloths
to
clean
your
bike)
and
you
can
also
use
your
Best

(how
cool
is
that)
We
have
our
first
ride
coming
up
in
April
and
I
hope
to
see
y'all
there.
This
writing
stuff
is
new
to
me
so
for
now
Keep

Enjoy
this
nice

watch
