the

the

officially
open.
We
want
to
thank
everyone
for
being
patient
through
this
construction
period
and
continuing
to
visit
our

via
alternate

The
construction
of
the
new
bridge
was
supposed
to
have
been
a
12
month
project
with
a
completion
date
scheduled
for
October
2009.
Unfortunately
we
experienced
some
challenging
weather
this
winter
resulting
in
a
delayed
opening. With
the
re-opening
of
the
eastbound
Randleman

exit,
Harley-Davidson
of

is
extremely
easy
to
get
to
and
conveniently
located.
If
you

take
the

Harley-Davidson:The

was
a
perfect

Eighteen

joined
in
a
poker
ride
led
by
Marvin
Rainwater
to
raise
money
for
the
March
of
Dimes/March
for
Babies.
After
drawing
our
first
card,
the
wonderful
Wolf

staff
saw
us
off.
We
rode
over
130
miles,
with
stops
in
Yanceyville,
at
the
Sonic
in
Mebane,
the
Sonic
in
Burlington
and
ending
at
the
Sonic
in
Reidsville.
We
were
greeted
with
a
very
warm
welcome
by
Matt,
the

and
his
terrific

The
employees
from
Sonic
and
Golden

also
joined
in
the
fun
by
purchasing
poker
cards
and
adding
to
our
fundraising
total.
I
heard
the
poker
game
got
very
competitive
at
the
Golden

The
lucky
winner
of
the
poker
run
was
David
Kohler
of

who
pocketed
$380
and
made
a
generous
donation
back
to
the

We
had
a
very
successful
fundraiser,
raising
over
$800,
and
a
fabulous
ride
with
a
great
bunch
of
people.
Thank
you
to

| Ladies
In
The
House... |
March
25,
2010,
Harley-Davidson
of
Greensboro:
Female
motorcyclists
have
been
the
fastest
growing
demographic
in
the
motorcycle
industry
since
1990,
when
women
represented
just
three
percent
of
riders.
Today,
women
represent
23
percent
of
all
motorcyclists
and
the
female
riding
population
continues
to
grow.
One
of
ways
Harley-Davidson
has
encouraged
thousands
of
women
to
learn
to
ride
over
the
past
few
years
is
through
Garage
Parties.
As
part
of
Harley-Davidson’s
celebration
of
National
Garage
Party
Month
in
March,
Harley-Davidson
of
Greensboro
hosted
one
of
these
ladies
only
Garage
Party
events
on
the
25th.
“The
events
help
educate
and
build
confidence
for
new
female
riders,
and
March
kicks
off
the
beginning
of
riding
season,
so
it’s
the
perfect
time
to
get
women
involved,”
said
Leslie
Prevish,
women’s
outreach
manager
for
Harley-Davidson
Motor
Company. Garage
Party
events
have
been
developed
specifically
for
women.
At
Harley-Davidson
of
Greensboro,
we
designed
the
evening
to
be
a
fun,
educational
and
comfortable
atmosphere,
where
women
could
freely
explore,
ask
questions
and
meet
other
women
interested
in
riding.
The
58
women
who
attended
had
a
range
of
motorcycle
experience,
from
stepping
into
a
Harley-Davidson
dealership
for
the
first
time
to
seasoned
riders.
We
set
up
four
stations
to
assist
our
guests
in
their
navigation
throughout
the
dealership.
The
women
were
divided
into
4
groups
that
rotated
among
the
stations,
some
getting
their
first
taste
of
the
camaraderie
that
exists
in
the
Harley
family.
These
stations
covered
various
topics
which
included
a
review
of
the
basic
Harley-Davidson
motorcycle
models,
an
introduction
to
our
Rider’s
Edge
new
rider’s
course,
how
to
properly
pick
up
a
fallen
motorcycle,
how
to
customize
a
motorcycle’s
style
and
ergonomics,
and
how
to
gear
up
for
a
ride.
During
their
free
time,
we
also
provided
for
some
“Girls
Night
Out”
pampering.
Dee
Manieri,
owner
of
the
Nurtured
Body,
gave
the
gift
of
relaxation
as
she
performed
chair
massages.
Tom
&
Jerry’s
Catering
from
Tuscany
Gardens
at
Bryan
Park
fed
our
guests
with
their
delectable
spread
of
hors
d’oeuvres,
meatballs,
pasta,
dips,
sweets
and
more.
WineStyles
of
Greensboro
also
provided
some
great
new
wines
for
tasting.
At
the
end
of
the
event,
some
of
the
group
joined
the
party
next
door
at
the
Steel
Horse
Saloon,
which
had
its
doors
rolled
open,
juke
box
playing
and
cold
beverages
ready. We
at
Harley-Davidson
of
Greensboro
would
like
to
extend
a
warm

HOG
Brunswick
Stew |
March
27,
2009
Harley-Davidson
of
High
Point:
In
the
spirit
of
family,
friends
and
community,
the
High
Point
HOG
Club
held
their
second
Brunswick
Stew
sale
on
Saturday,
March
27th
at
Harley-Davidson
of
High
Point.
HOG
Club
members
began
to
arrive
in
the
parking
lot
about
5:45am
with
supplies
and
the
ingredients
they
had
pre-prepared
at
home.
Their
vehicles
were
unloaded,
cookers
heated,
and
delicious
ingredients
combined
in
two
large
ports
and
left
to
simmer
for
several
hours. By
noon
the
aroma
filling
the
parking
lot
of
the
dealership
was
irresistible.
Customers
eagerly
bought
bowls
of
stew
which
sold
for
$4
and
included
crackers,
a
drink
and
delicious
home-made
desserts.
Quarts
of
stew
sold
for
$6
and
provided
wonderful
take-home
meals. Over
the
next
5
hours
HOG
members,
family
and
friends
stopped
by
to
say
hello,
eat
lunch
and
enjoy
the
sunshine.
The
stew
was
such
a
hit
that
even
the
Harley-Davidson
of
Greensboro
staff
eagerly
called
in
orders. Delicious
food,
and
a
beautiful
day
created
an
atmosphere
of
fellowship,
funny
moments
and
great
conversations. The
Brunswick
Stew
was
sold
out
by
the
end
of
the
day
and
the
proceeds
will
benefit
several
local
charities
over
this
upcoming
year,
such
as
Brenner
Children’s
Hospital
and
Horizon’s
Residential
Care
Center.
We
want
to

| Wednesday
Thunder |
When
Bob
Marino
from
Triad
Lanes
on
Wendover
Ave
called
me
back
in
October
of
‘09
wanting
to
set
up
a
Harley
bowling
league,
I
never
imagined
I
would
have
ended
up
having
the
incredible
experience
that
I
did.
Leading
Edge
Promotions
teamed
up
with
Harley-Davidson
Motor
Company
on
a
national
level,
providing
bowling
alleys
across
the
country
with
a
great
promotion
to
offer
to
their
local
Harley-Davidson
dealers.
Mr.
Marino
proposed
offering
our
employees,
HOG
clubs
and
customers
a
free
bowling
party
in
the
hopes
of
starting
up
a
16
week
bowling
league.
At
the
end
of
the
league
each
player
would
receive
either
a
Harley-Davidson
pin
or
bowling
ball.
Not
being
a
bowler
myself,
I
had
no
idea
what
I
was
getting
myself
into.
I
had
never
been
a
fan
of
the
sport,
only
because
I
wasn’t
very
good.
However,
I
decided
to
join
one
of
the
six
teams
and
set
out
on
this
new
adventure.
We
formed
a
mixed
league
consisting
of
six
teams
of
three.
If
you
think
that
you
have
to
be
an
expert
bowler
in
order
to
bowl
in
a
league,
this
Wednesday
Thunder
Bowling
League
will
prove
you
otherwise.
We
had
quite
an
array
of
talent
and
experience
within
our
league.
After
all,
the
handicap
scoring
system
was
created
for
a
reason!
A
few
participants
already
had
some
great
experience…some
even
with
their
own
bowling
balls
and
shoes.
However,
what
made
this
league
so
great
was
that
we
all
brought
with
us
a
desire
to
have
a
lot
of
fun.
Over
the
next
sixteen
weeks,
all
eighteen
of
us
spent
our
Wednesday
nights
cheering
each
other
on,
getting
to
know
one
another
better,
and
enjoying
the
friendly
competition.
Although
I
was
originally
hesitant
to
step
out
of
my
comfort
zone
and
commit
to
this
sport
which
I
thought
I
disliked,
I
now
cherish
the
new
relationships
I’ve
made
and
the
feelings
of
gratification
that
come
from
trying
something
new.
Thank
you
to
all
my
fellow
bowlers
for
your
friendship,
you’re
desire
to
have
fun,
and
all
your
“high-fives”.
