Smoker
Craft
182
ProMag
Designed
for
the
Fishing
Family

Today’s family is really getting into the sport of fishing and the Smoker Craft 182 Pro Mag is designed to deliver fishability and ease of use. Since the family usually has a lot of gear to bring along, the 182 has a lot of storage to put it away. She carries a wide beam for stability and safety and has a stern livewell for bait or to keep the catch fresh all day.
Starting at the bow, the 182 Pro Mag has a raised casting deck so you can see out over the fish and room for a casting chair to be added on a post. A storage bin is in the starboard side. The bow light is stowed in clips on the bottom of the lid so you don’t have to rummage around looking for it when the night descends on you. There is also a livewell over on the port side in the bow so you don’t have to run all the way back to the stern when the fish take your bait and you reel in an empty hook. Smoker Craft has a good idea with the cord pass-through on the front of the helm so you can keep your trolling motor batteries topped off easily. On our test boat we had a Minn Kota V2 with tethered foot control mounted on the upper deck in the bow. read more ------>

I
bought
a
boat
last
year;
it’s
a
1995
Bayliner
with
a
3.0
liter
carbureted
engine.
The
boat
has
been
in
storage
for
about
6
years.
I
know
this
is
vague
but
do
you
have
any
hints
as
to
what
I
need
to
do
to
get
it
running.
I
installed
a
battery.
I
can’t
get
it
to
start.
If
I
spray
starting
fluid
in
the
carburetor
it
starts
then
stalls.

John,
The first thing you should do is to remove all the existing fuel from. The fuel is very old and probably has some contamination. Replace the fuel filter and spark plugs. The carburetor should be removed and disassembled for a thorough cleaning. Once you clean the carburetor (I would probably just rebuild it anyway depending on your mechanical background) add new fuel with some conditioner, I would recommend adding conditioner for the rest of the summer at every fill up. This will help dissolve all of the old particles in the tank.
Once these items are done the engine should start and run (well at least in theory LOL) unless you have other hidden problems - Good luck!

Hi
Everyone,
It
is
great
to
be
back
out
on
the
open
water
and
catching
fish
again
after
a
real
slow
winter
ice
fishing
season.
Not
sure
why
it
was
so
slow,
but
we
are
making
up
for
it
now.
The
crappies
and
bluegills
are
in
all
of
the
canals
on
Houghton
Lake
and
we
are
getting
some
nice
quantities
and
nice
size
fish.
Minnows
with
a
green
jig
and
real
simple
for
the
bluegills,
small
red
hook
and
a
leaf
worm,
it
doesn't
get
any
easier
than
that..
We
have
also
caught
some
small
walleye
that
we
have
let
go.
Can't
wait
for
the
opening
of
walleye/pike
season
April
24th.
Not
much
for
reports
coming
from
Higgins
Lake
or
Lake
St.
Helen
right
now.
Good
luck
fishing
and
take
a
kid
out
fishing
today.
