OREGON
DISCOVERY
RALLY A
BMW
GS
XPLOR
EVENT In
September,
BMWOR
will
be
launching
the
inaugural
"Oregon
Discovery
Rally".
This
rally
was
inspired
by
the
Idaho
BMW
Riders
Club's
Nez
Perce
Rally
and
will
be
held
this
year
from
September
10-13.
The
Oregon
Discovery
Rally
is
the
first
of
an
annual
rally
BMWOR
will
be
offering
to
the
Northwest
dualsport
community.
The
majority
of
riding
will
focus
on
some
great
dirt
and
gravel
roads
with
the
rally
being
headquartered
at
a
campground.
We'll
base
the
rally
operations
at
a
campground
(minimum
of
access
to
water,
but
not
necessarily
showers
or
toilets),
so
that
once
participants
arrive,
they
can
get
settled
and
then
spend
the
next
two
full
days
exploring
Oregon.
We'll
provide
a
welcome
reception
on
Sunday
evening,
then
three
more
breakfasts
and
two
more
dinners.
So,
you'll
want
to
make
plans
to
have
snacks
and/or
food
for
lunches
while
you're
out
riding.
The
2006
Oregon
Discovery
Rally
will
be
headquartered
at
the
Marsters
Spring
Campground,
approximately
7
miles
south
of
Paisley
in
the
Fremont
National
Forest
of
Southcentral
Oregon.
Then,
in
subsequent
years,
the
location
of
the
rally
headquarters
will
move
to
another
location
in
the
state.
We
have
divided
Oregon
into
six
areas,
so
each
year,
you'll
have
a
great
opportunity
to
ride
different
dualsport
roads
throughout
Oregon. |
