return
to
Ivie
reservoir
Ivie
is
the
hottest
monster-bass
fishery
in
Texas
right
now.
Since
January,
the
lake
has
produced
at
least
10
fish
weighing
13
pounds
or
more.
Six
of
those
13-pluses
were
landed
over
an
eight-day
period,
April
3-10.
Nine
of
those
10
huge
fish
were
entered
in
TPWD's
ShareLunker
program,
which
solicits
live
13-pound
or
heavier
largemouth
bass
caught
between
Oct.
1
and
April
30
for
use
in
hatchery
production
and
fisheries
research.
(A
13-plus
caught
April
10
was
offered
to
ShareLunker
but
died
before
it
could
be
accepted.)
Ivie's
closest
competition
in
the
big-bass
tally
is
Lake
Fork,
acknowledged
as
the
premier
trophy
bass
lake
in
Texas.
Fork
has
three
13-pluses
this
ShareLunker
season,
an
indication
of
how
hot
Ivie
has
been.
