Beat
the
Heat
on
the
Lake |
| 5
Tips
to
have
a
great
trip |
It's
a
beautiful
morning
on
your
day
off.
For
several
weeks
you've
been
planning
to
take
the
boats
out
for
a
ride
on
the
lake
with
the
family.
Everything
is
going
to
go
great,
right?
Well
it
will
if
you
be
sure
to
remember
these
important
points
to
enjoy
a
full
and
enjoyable
time
at
the
lake.
Bring
lots
of
water!
Hydrate
or
Die
obviously
one
of
the
most
important
things
you
can
bring
is
water,
and
lots
of
it.
Be
sure
to
bring
at
least
1
bottle
per
hour
on
the
lake
per
person!
Yeah
that
might
seem
like
alot,
but
at
the
end
of
the
day,
you'll
be
surprise
how
much
water
you'll
go
through
when
it's
110
outside.
A
cooler
is
a
great
idea
too!
Bring
Sun
protection
Forget
sunscreen
and
you'll
look
like
this
guy
on
the
right.
Always
be
sure
to
bring
appropriate
sunscreen,
glasses
hat,
shirt,
whatever
you
need
to
keep
from
getting
burned.
Always
be
sure
to
reapply
the
sunscreen
throughout
the
day
especially
if
you
are
getting
wet!
He
might
look
happy
right
now,
but
just
wait
till
tonight!
Gas-up
Be
sure
to
bring
enough
gas
for
your
trip,
no
one
likes
to
go
out
for
half
a
day
and
have
to
call
it
quits
early
because
you
didn't
have
any
spare
jugs
of
gas.
Don't
forget
them!
and
it
is
ALOT
cheaper
to
bring
your
gas
from
the
shore
than
to
buy
it
on
the
lake.
Shade
Bring
Something
to
cool
down
under.
Even
if
you
are
getting
wet
on
a
watercraft
the
whole
day,
8
hours
of
direct
sun
will
drain
you
of
your
energy.
Bring
an
easy
up
or
some
kind
of
cover
to
find
refuge
during
the
day
from
the
sun.
Know
lake
regulations
Check
that
your
tags
are
up
to
date
and
that
your
watercraft
is
registered.
Also
be
sure
that
everyone
in
your
party
knows
about
the
"no
wake"
zone.
Failure
to
follow
this
simple
regulation
could
result
in
a
very
nasty
ticket.
Be
safe
and
enjoy
the
lake! |

| 2011
KTM
Dealer
Show |
| KTM
Introduces
the
newest
in
their
elite
line-up
with
the
350SXF |
KTM
held
their
2011
dealer
show
in
Pala,
California
on
June
7th
and
8th.
Pala
Raceway
is
hosting
the
last
round
of
the
AMA
National
Motocross
series
on
September
11th.
Making
its
debut
and
clearly
the
hit
of
the
new
models
was
the
long
awaited
350SXF
motocross
model.
Being
touted
as
easier
to
ride
longer
than
the
450cc
bikes,
I
can
say
that
KTM
did
not
disappoint
with
this
new
machine.
Boasting
an
all
new
compact
motor,
chassis,
rear
shock
linkage,
fuel
injection
and
a
host
of
other
new
features
found
on
the
other
new
SXF
models.
This
bike
handled
extremely
well
and
was
a
joy
to
ride
around
the
Pala
track;
it
seemed
to
bridge
a
gap
that
was
lacking
in
the
current
motocross
offerings
(more
power
and
torque
than
the
250s,
and
more
controllable
than
the
current
450
size
bikes).
The
250SXF
was
improved
also,
including
exhaust,
new
engine
cases,
fuel
injection,
rear
shock
linkage
and
a
claimed
10%
increase
in
power.
The
450SXF
gained
the
rear
shock
linkage,
and
incorporating
grab
handles
on
the
new
rear
fender
(also
on
the
250,
350)
The
motocross
models
were
not
the
only
ones
getting
updates
this
year,
leading
the
way
was
the
250XC
and
300XC
two-stroke
models.
They
received
a
new
PDS
rear
shock,
6
speed
transmission,
new
silencer,
swingarm,
new
clear
tank,
rear
fender
with
grab
handles.
The
250XCW
and
300XCW
also
received
a
6
speed
transmission,
new
silencer,
and
new
piston.
Rounding
out
the
4
stroke
lineup
was
the
EXC
and
XCW
models.
The
EXC
street
legal
models
received
new
bodywork
and
the
530
got
new
engine
timing
to
improve
starting.
XCW
models
received
new
graphics,
and
the
6
days
version
includes:
orange
frame,
radiator
fan,
seat
cover
with
map
pocket
and
other
KTM
accessories.
Overall
KTM
is
showing
itself
to
be
a
company
not
content
to
sit
on
its
laurels,
they
are
continuing
to
produce
new
models
to
keep
customers
interested
and
excited
about
their
sport.
